this is getting annoying now my and my girlfriend just split up (on a break)and she went away for the week and i said to have no contact for the whole week exept she broke the rules (not that im playing by the book) and txt me but i dont know if she still likes me and im not sure if i like her (sooo childish i knw) but she begged me not to go into the army and be with her so i stopped for her and now i think she wants to be just friends and i didnt stop my career for ''just friends''(everyone knw that being friends just dont work unless u never really cared at all) so this is going to be like all or nothing no setting for second best but shud i just tell her way to go or try and fix things im not going bk to someone who dont want me

Advantages of getting a mail order bride instead of asking a woman on a date.

1. Men never have to humiliate themselves after yet another rejection.
2. Shy men have an opportunity to enjoy life.
3. Shy men don't have to worry about a snobby stuck up Paris Hilton-type of girl making fun of him.
4. Men won't be afraid of rejection.
5. Men won't have to deal with fake phone numbers from clubs, women not returning calls, etc.
6. Men who are virgins won't kill themselves
7. Men will never be lonely. They will always have a women to come home to.
8. No more chasing after women trying to get laid.

Advantages of asking a girl on a date instead of getting a mail order bride:

(legitimate reasons please, not the old cliches of "human trafficking is wrong" or "I don't wanna buy a slave" The answer I am looking for is what EXACTLY is the benefit of risking my self esteem and putting my heart on the line just to get girls to like me?)

I'm mates with this guy and we get on like a house on fire. We share our stuffs have similar interests... time always flys fast whenever we talk. We're open with each other and.... we're happy in each other's company. I do have feelings for him but I dont want to tell him and Im actually thinking about just moving on... but yknw still being mates with him am I doing the right thing? I am not old enough to go to bars, am currently taking a year off from school (between highschool and college), and don't know anybody in my area. To top it off I am very shy.

My girlfriend recently killed herself. It was sudden, and there were no warnings that I could see. She wasn't depressed, she got along fine with me, her friends, her family. She was very successful at school and work. I just can't understand why she did it, and my life is incomplete without her. Losing her makes me horrible, but the fact that she did it to herself makes me feel worse. We were engaged and always talked about the future. She told me if anything happened to her, she'd want me to move on and find somebody else, but I highly doubt I'll be able to (or want to) do that.

He has been dating me for a year and the half. We spend a lot of time and have great moments together.

But he just does not want to say how he feels for me?

Over an argument, he accidentally said "I love you"


When I said "that's the first time you said that",
He said" Not in that way"?

What way does he mean especially since I havent been seeing no one else?

We were arguing about him doubting me when he uttered the words for the first time.

Should I move on or wait on him to realize that maybe he may actually love me?

I know, I know, it does sound pathetic.

I'm 37, and will be 38 soon. I've never in my life had a friend, or a girlfriend. All 'love' I've received in my life I had to pay for.

I'm fairly successful, educated (a researcher, with several published papers, including co-authoring two papers in _Nature_), not rich but in a comfortable financial situation, and not bad looking.

I don't understand. I've never managed to get anyone to be anything more than a distant acquaintance, and I've never managed to convince a woman to dance with me.

How do people manage to be loved and/or liked? I see individuals who don't seem particularly bright, or interesting, and not even clean or well-behaved, yet they do have friends and lovers.

Is it the way they act around you? Is it the fact theyre so honest with you or share everything with you. I dont know if we're mates or more then mates sometimes.... He tells me everything from what he does yesterday to what he got up2 today. He asks for my opinion in something.... we talk for ages and stuff we just get along really well. everyone's had bad relationships right? i was in one for 1.5 years, but never really felt loved cos he told me maybe twice that he loved me. i think now that i realise that, my heart is taking more time to heal. he was my partner a year ago, but have still had something for him for over a year now. we have such an amazing physical attraction. i meet other guys, but no-one is ever good enough. i don't compare them to my ex, but i guess i don't have that trust. i'm scared i'm going to get heart-broken again. but i'm also really lonely and feeling really empty.
i'd never share my grief with anyone. i dont share my deep deep feelings often, actually, never.

O.K. Having a few problems at the moment, and dont know really how to start.... have been with my girlfriend for nearly a year,and we were friends for ages before that. It just seems that although I really like her, every conversation we have lately, she just says something that winds me up, or almost says something that she knows I'll argue with....it never used to be like that before. we dont seem to communicate very well in conversations, i ask questions, and she answers with an answer as if I answered a different question. We had problems a few months back, as she went on the pill for us to start having sex, we're both virgins, and it was difficult for me to know what I was doing, hence she got angry at me, when I didnt know what I was doing. All through our relationship, she doesnt start any kind of intimacy, its always me, i always start the kissand she says its cos shes shy. I bought her flowers for v.day, yet didnt get as much as a card. yet when i ask her, she says shes happy!

I am trying to get over this saint of a girl that I fell high over heels and in deep deep love with. The girl is out of my life for good now and lives in town with her boyfriend. It has been one year since I got my heartbroken from unrequited love and I am still heartbroken. This isn't just any average young heart break, this is really severe. I am going through agony amounts of emotional pain, I cry everyday and it's like living with cancer, only it is an emotional cancer. The is absolutely unbearable and I am really hurting so badly. I have tried things A-Z to try and treat this. I have met consultant psychiatrists, therapists and counsellors but that didn't help one bit. I do alot of exercise and mainly go for long walks but that hasn't worked one bit. I have tried different diets and really good medications, but that hasn't worked. I dream alot about my lost love which upsets me. I have become completely sexless, I don't talk much and I have a paralised emotion of emptiness.
