Am I doing the right thing?

Question

I'm mates with this guy and we get on like a house on fire. We share our stuffs have similar interests... time always flys fast whenever we talk. We're open with each other and.... we're happy in each other's company. I do have feelings for him but I dont want to tell him and Im actually thinking about just moving on... but yknw still being mates with him am I doing the right thing? I do care about him alot but I'm just confused right now I guess cause Im not sure how he really feels about me... But yeah please HELP

We only just met last year and have been friends since....

no I don't think you're doing the right thing, considering it's a possibility that he harbours feelings for you too!

I'm kind of in a similar situation, and finally I have had enough courage and invited him to lunch/coffee, to which he accepted straightaway and proposed a venue. I plan on telling him that I have liked him for quite a while... I know our friendship is strong enough that no matter the outcome, we can still treat each other normally.

Ugh, that's a tough one. I think when you become best friends with a guy, to the point where you are then those feelings are bound to arise (unless he's ugly lol). Because you are so close and talk, share, hang out alot, etc. You have a bond with him, and that bound turns into feelings. But it's a very sticky situation, you need to do some soul searching and really make sure that you wanna take that step and talk to him about your feelings. Because if he feels the same way and you and him start a relationship then there is a chance that relationship will end and then the friendship will usually as well. If the feelings you have are so strong that you do think you should tell him, and you think he'll feel the same way. Then go for it! Because if you don't, you will always wonder 'what if'. And that's a crappy feeling. So think long and hard and if you know these feelings are real ~ good luck with whatever u decide

THe only thing you can do is talk to him and tell him how you feel it is scary as hell but you never know he may feel the same way and if not then don't be embarrssed about it just act cool and say oh well. Give it a day then call and act like nothing has happened!

Call me old school, but if he likes you (enough) he would tell you. If he doesn't see what a great and wonderful person you are, just move on. You'll find someone who would appreciate your worth.

I think you like him just because of proximity. Just explore your other options.
