I have a FRIEND, that I've truly come to love dearly. We have had an off and on sexual relationship for 6 years. And I truly did fall for him hard. But he married someone else. We still have an off again on again encounter every now and then sexually, even though he's still married. I am exhausted mentally because I just want to leave him alone. I truly want to lose his number and never talk to him again. I respect the fact that he is married and I'm engaged myself. I truly want to live my life without him for awhile and I can't seem to break free. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to slowly break free from someone you've loved for so long.

My gf & I broke up last week after 2 ½ years. She told me she was unhappy w/our relationship.She said that we come from 2 diff.paths; she doesn’t know if she can be with my family, & she has to push me to do everything.She looks at everything I have done in the past as a negative.I just went back to school after 6 years, & to her that’s a neg.She came from a home where she very rarely had to pay for anything, dated ppl who had $ & class.Her mom would make comments about ex’s while I was at the house, about them having class & how wonderful they were. 2 weeks ago she hung out with a friend from HS and didn’t ask me to hang out with her & meet him.I found out she was kissing him that night.This happened while we were still dating. She never told me & used the excuses above.I found out her friends told her this guy is only there for a$$.She said she still loves me & will always be there for me, but why did she do this 2 me then.Should I tell her I found out or should I just leave it alone

A guy that I wouldn't have a sexual relationship with (because he has a girlfriend) told me that I was dreamin if I thought I would ever get a man that would not cheat. me and my gf split up kind of we are on a break she has gone away for a week and we both agreed to talk when she got back.
but im not sure the possablilltys dont lok good no matter wot happens because i was joining the army and she begged me not to go and stay for her (i was top of my class ), so i did but i dont think it was worth it now we had a great time and we both started to fall for each other, but how can she love me if she asked me to give up the life my body was made for just for her i would of done it anyway but she should not have asked im not sure if i shud take her back but i do like her alot ........confused big time

btw the army will not change me or break me im too stong in will and heart for that to happen not even my ex sgt said it would.
and it feel she hasnt given up anything but i gave up my life the army is the only place other than her where i have been accepted as i am

We broke up because of his committment phobic issues. He called me and told me what is going on in his life. I didn't want to hear it, I lost it and told him how much he hurt me...how much I don't want to know about what is going on in his life. He was an hour away and drove to see me. He was crying...actually told me he loved me...he never did beforel Now what do I do? What does the crying mean? Should I believe him? Deep down I know he is the one for me...but I can't go through the hurt I went through before.

Update: I fell in love with him. It seemed like he felt the same...everything was perfect. Then he started treating me really bad, like never taking me around anyone. Enough was enough. So when I told him how bad he hurt me that is when he cried. He said he didn't realize how much I loved him and then he told me he loved me. And it was hard for him to say it....I have no idea why he has a problem saying it. Help!

I'm 18 years old and I am not waiting till i'm married till I have sex i'm just waiting for the right person. I've dating alot of people in the past and I have always told myself i'm not just going to give myself away to a jackass who dosn't care less about me. I'm currently a feshman in college and I have been seeing someone for 5 weeks and made it offical on valentines day. It's like when we are together(we have done everything but sex) it's like my body is dying to take that next step.

He is the nicest guy, still a virgin, we are very close but his main concern is if we don't work out in the long run he dosn't want to ever emotionally hurt me.(i'm his coxin on the rowing team and technecally we arnt supposed to be dating so we just havn't told anyone but are close friends)

But really, do they mean it, or are they just writing that to make the asker feel better?
