I'm 18 years old and I am not waiting till i'm married till I have sex i'm just waiting for the right person. I've dating alot of people in the past and I have always told myself i'm not just going to give myself away to a jackass who dosn't care less about me. I'm currently a feshman in college and I have been seeing someone for 5 weeks and made it offical on valentines day. It's like when we are together(we have done everything but sex) it's like my body is dying to take that next step.
He is the nicest guy, still a virgin, we are very close but his main concern is if we don't work out in the long run he dosn't want to ever emotionally hurt me.(i'm his coxin on the rowing team and technecally we arnt supposed to be dating so we just havn't told anyone but are close friends)
I know that i'm ready and he is the kind of guy I want to loose it to. I don't intend on ever sleeping around but it's like this unbelievable force by nature that my body wants to when we are together.

Think I should follow my feelings or wait longer and not give in to temptation. No matter what I think I can make up my own mind over opinions from yahoo answers i'm just surious 2 see what others think.
Oh and note 2 everyone I'm obviously going to wait till we are together longer if it happens.

It's not only what your body wants that counts, although it's definately a factor. What does your brain tell you? If you have thought about how you would handle all of the potential consequences, and have a plan to be safe, and feel that you are both physically and emotionally prepared, then do what feels right for you, when it feels right for you; you're old enough to make your own decision.

Well I think you should wait for love. Some questions to ask yourself before deciding to loose your virginity.
1. are you prepared to have a child if your protection doesnt work so well?
2. are you prepared to not be a virgin for your future husband?
3.do you know how to protect yourself from STD's
I am sure there are others but those \are the main ones. Really think about what you are going to do so you have no regrets afterward. And get on birth control!!!so that if something just happens some time you are protected.

I think you should wait. Just because your hormones are telling you to do something does not make it the right thing to do. I know you are 18 but you are still young and will change a lot in what you want and don't want in the next few years becuase you are still maturing. You don't want to do anything you will regret later. Sometimes just waiting to do something that important is best becuase it could save you a lot of hurt that you don't realize now.

Well, if you feel that the timing is right and that you care about this guy enough, then go for it! Maybe u should wait a little longer than 5 weeks... but only you can know when and if you're ready. If I were sure, I'd go ahead.

wait longer till you know for sure. plus if you do wait till marrage then you can give the greatest gift to your husband. it is better to wait.
