wow consider yourself lucky, maybe there's something about you that sets you apart from the other guys your girl friend has dated:) And Dad's are over protective of their daughters anyway, they just want the best for them. Your gurl friend may have had bad experiences with other guys previous to you so that could be a reason why her dad likes you.
oh and dont listen to other answers, their stupid, who said anything about loosing ones virginity? there idiots lol

Because you are her boyfriend, that dad see's the reason for you to be in her life. But if she has guy friends, he doesnt see a point for that since she isnt going to get with any of them.
You see, some dad's just plain dont get it when women hang out with men because they think the only reason a man and a woman should hang out is because there should be a relationship.
He's very old fasioned.

first being a dad my self ,we once was boys an we know how they think, ,he is showing you he respeck you an to some what trust you,, but be ware if you break his trust, for a dad is one of the thing you do not want to cross,,

Could be two things:
He may be decent and you're the only decent guy he'd let come close to his daughter
He may be nasty, a real idiot, and all the other guys called him on it and saw him for what he is, but you may be the conformist.

my dad was same with my fella likes him a lot when i asked him why he likes him n not exes he said cos he is decent with lot of common sense and he trusts him to look after me
