Singles & Dating - 7 January 2007

My relationship started out with lies. He would never invite me to his house although he said that he lived alone. He claimed that his home was too dirty. About a month after we started dating, I received a phone call from his live in girlfriend. I confronted him about it and he confessed to living with her but not being happy. He told me that she uses drugs and alcohol and because he is a recovering alcoholic/addict, the relationship was very unhealthy for him to be in. I had empathy for him, and allowed him to move in with me only because I had recently been in a similar situation. I too am a recovering addict and my x boyfriend was using drugs. Once he moved in, all was good for a while until one day he lost his temper when I accidently cut his fingernail too close. It scared me. Now, noticing all the little things, I notice that he is very lazy. He won't water the grass, he can't wash clothes, and he won't help out around the house. What should I do?

please listen to this story,
i met a soldier in iraq online over a month ago. we hit it off completely and have been writing almost everyday (unless hes on a mission) we fell for eachother very quickly and hes not coming home until september...i told him i will wait and there is no question that i will. we decided that we will not see other people at all. its been so hard because i can only get about one email from him a day and sometimes a couple phone calls a week. he will be here on RnR in april and i will see him then.
I have never been in this situation and having a hard time not being able to talk to him as much as i would like.
i need helpful advice on how to stay positive because im finding myself getting sad over him not being here. and him not being here soon. i send letters everyother day and make sure im always here to take his call. any advice will help.......thank you.

To cut a long story short, at college, after having known this girl for a few months, I asked if we could meet up during the easter holidays she said smiled and said yes, i then send her a text telling her i would call her that weekend. The next day she replies and says thought about it, and will be too busy Sorry!
Back at college I ask "whats wrong?". She replies a little agressively "I told you im busy". I then suggest another time, and she says "whats the point... we have nothing in commn anyway"

Sory if this sounds lude but I realy am just wondering. If you are ever realy horny, but are sleeping in the same room as someone else (ie. at a sleepover) do/have you ever masturbated? Because, as a guy I sometimes want to but obviously cant because of the obvious movement, but it seems you could just sort of lie on your hand or something. So, have you? What if you are in the same bed as someone else?

my situation..what would you do/feel?
ok my bf & i been going out for 2 1/2 years now & for the past year or so he's been hanging out w/ his friends & going to all these places [eating at restaurants he has never taken me to, usually goes to NY w/out me] & he also went to this mall in pennsylvania [prince of pursia] which is supposedly big & high class shopping w/ his GUY friends. come on now isn't that a little weird? i mean, i don't mind sometimes but it's happened so many times that it's beginning to bother the hell out of me b/c he doesn't take me anywhere like the way him &his friends go out & i guess you can say I'M JEALOUS OF HIS FRIENDS. whatever i hate it. how would you feel? &what would you do?
& another scenario, when we go out to his cousins house or whatever & i don't feel like going, he keeps nagging me to go & i asked him why can't he go w/out me? &he says that he doesn't like leaving me. so i asked him how about when he goes out w/ his friends? he says THAT'S DIFFERENT.

used to live in Russia now in england and there was this boy at my old school who really liked me. back then i didnt feel anything to him, just friendship, then i suddenly moved away and didnt have the opportunity to tell him, as it was in the summer hols. 2 years later, i returned for a holiday and went to my old school's xmas party - this boy didnt even look at me! i reckon he's pi$ed off for me not telling him.

now im starting to have feelings for him - i dunno why. one of this year's resolution i told myself i'd patch things up with him, just to explain that i'm sorry and see if he wants to start things up, but i dont know how he'll react

my best friend and i are almost 16 years old. lately, i don't know what's been happening to her. it's like she's changed all her values all of a sudden. the only thing that she talks about now is getting a boyfriend, "hot guys", and making out. her grades are slipping... and she's becoming a completely different person. i don't know what to do with her!! is it weird that i'm not obsessed with looking for a boyfriend and that she on the other hand is?

3 months ago I asked my fiancee for time apart. things were moving fast, marriage was coming, and I thought I needed to think alone. She was very upset, but I insisted and didnt see her for a month. I realized how much I loved and I asked her to take me back. At first she was still angry at me and she was dating someone else. She kept dating him for about 1 week. She eventually forgave me and we are engaged again. Recently I found out that she had sex with the other guy the night before she took me back. She says she wanted to experience him, but that she wanted to teach me a lesson and test my love. She also said wanted the guy was very sweet and she wanted to thank him. She told him she would go back to me, so the last night she admits they did it almost all night, three times. We have talked a lot, about how she was hurt, and I have expressed its ok to tell how she enjoyed the sex. we are back in love and my heart knows that, but I cannot stop my head from being jealous. advice??

its like they are all cool, but then after I sleep with them its like they got what they wanted and thats it. Its like they just use us for sex, then you find out they were talking to their ex for four hours who cheated on her and treated her like crap. I am sick of just being a piece of meat to women, so why are they like this?

Why does it seem like some people are so accustomed to being a "victim" of one form or another that when they enter into a good relationship with a lot of potential, they seem to undermine and sabotage it? What does one do to overcome this (be it the "victim" or the "victim's" SO)? Anyone have success doing so?

Every guy I ever go out with, whom I finally think is wonderful, end up being a jerk. I don't understand why? Is it something I do?I mean I dress very conservatively and modestly (you'll HARDLY ever see cleavage-maybe once a year on special occasions), I am also hard to get. I don't go out with a lot of guys. I have only dated 4 guys in my whole life. But in the end of EVERY relationship, and let me stress that these all lasted a month, it turned out the guy just wanted to have sex with me. Please help. What do you think?

I called this girl yesterday to hang out and she did not answer. I left her a voice mail to call me back and she never did. I am assuming she heard the message. I am leaving town tomorrow so tonight is my last night to see her for a while and I really want to hang out with her. So, should I call her one more time today or is that too much? Well, after asking my last question (will he choose me) on Xmas day, i did what i was advised to do and told him not to text me or bother me again. All was going well, until he text me 3 days later. It was amazing, we chatted on the phone for hours and we met up last Tuesday, then again Friday and we are going to the cinema in a few days time. The whole issue was with another woman he told me he had feelings for. I have sat him down and talked to him, telling him i need to know where i stand. He told me to my face that they are not lovers and they don't have a sexual relationship he also said he hasnt got a problem telling her about me. He met her last night first time in 2 weeks, he said the subject would probably come up. I am scared to ask and be nosey, but i do want to know if it was came up. Does this mean that i am doing ok and he does in fact want me? He told me he woke up the morning i told him to leave me alone and cried. How do i take this relationship further and not ruin it

an engagement ring, more like an appreciation ring, but is very special because he worked hard and saved up for it (over $600). I had also told him I loved it a couple of months ago when we were at Saks and looking at the David Yurman jewelry. When his mom saw it Christmas day, she went out and bought one EXACTLY like it the next day for his little sister. Does this not seem weird to anyone? I was pretty upset about it because it doesnt seem special anymore like it was meant to be. His mom does this anytime I get something new, like purses, bags, jewelry, clothes, ANYTHING. The ring was kind of my last straw. Any opinions about this?
