Would you have thier past checked out to see if there was any history of domestic violence, or adultery, or if he had a criminal record?

I used to work in the law enforcement field, and I check out people that I am even considering dating. There is a website (at least in my state) that you can check on the cases (civil and criminal) that they have been involved in. LOVE IT!

Yes definitely!Better to be safe than sorry!
Nowadays what we know about a person are not enough!We have to make extra effort by checking different records like what you have mentioned.Especially marriage is a lifetime commitment.

I didn't do it with my husband and got lucky-expecially considering we were only dating 6 months when we did get married. However, if something was to happen and I was to remarry someone new, I would. To much is going on in the world for me to just trust someone else.

I would hope that if i had agreed to marry him, i already trust that he has told me about his past....as i have told him of mine, also if someone has a criminal record it is possible for them to change, if i told you about my past it would make ya hair curl....lol.....but i am not like that now & feel prouf of the change!.......if u have doubts of your partners honesty dont go there!!!

if i dont trust him, i wouldnt consider marrying him. in that case i would wait and try to find out myself means make him trust me and tell me himself.
