Do you think that it scares men or makes them feel un-needed in a relationship when they see how independant a single mother is with her child? I have met numerous great guys, but when it comes to the time to have them over and my daughter s around, it almost seems as though it scares them away. I have never brought up them being my daughter's dad. She already has one. What gives?

ok see this is what happened, i had went with this boy for about 9 months, but we didn't see eachother enough so, we just kind of grew apart, but see while we were on and off i was talking to his bestfriend which is now my boyfriend of 8 months, yes we love wachother, but i know that in the first 2 or 3 mths or our relationship i still had SOOOO MUCH feelings for, my ex (his bf)but it took a loooong time to get over him, and i love my baby sooo much now, but see all of a sudden last week my bf was with my ex and called me, on my ex's phone, i saved the # but after my bf had left my ex called me back,we talked a little but we could both tell we didnt want to get off the phone but didnt want anything unusual to happen or come out. Im almost 19 years old, a freshman in college and I havent gotten into any trouble at all this year, I havent even gone to a single party! I asked my parents if I could drive up to see this guy I go to school with for new years and since he lives a few hours away I asked then whether or not they wanted me to drive home after midnight. Well, I havent actually met this guy in person yet and so at first my parents said I could go but they didnt want me to drive home after but now they won't let me go because they think that I shouldn't go because we havent even met each other yet. They got my hopes up and I have behaved myself. Why don't I deserve to go out on New Years and see this guy? I promised to keep in close contact and they know I won't drink! I did well in school and they have no reason not to trust me! Im so upset... What would you do?

My first love(when I was 13) recently wrote me to tell me he still loves me. We're more of a plutonic love. We met on Vacation, I'm in Cali & he's in Texas. We only saw eachother then & kept in touch for a few years through email, phone & mail. About 3 years ago he got his gf pregnant & got married. I was bummed when I found out, even though we were nothing. He's now divorced & tells me he's never forgotten me. So, what does he want me to do? My finace lives in another country, my sis will be out partying w/her fiance and my parents will be sleeping. I have no one who I WANT to share new years eve with (except my fiance but that's not possible). No party to go to. Friends....well lets just say I am a loner by choice :). Even if I had friends and parties to go to I probably wouldn't go. But this year I feel sad about spending new years alone. I guess its b/c b4 this year me and my sis would always be together and also things were good b/w me and my parents - we actually talked to eachother while living under 1 roof. I used to chat with my fiance around midnight. This time its nothing. My fiance has ppl over @ his house so have to look after them. We'll talk but for 30 mins...no 3 hours long chats :( Can anyone else relate to how I feel? Happy New Year btw :)

Here's my scenario

I have this crush for 3yrs and it seems that someone has already won her heart eventhough their not legally (in her parents ) bf and gf . Now this is my dillemma , i can't stop thinking about her because it seems that she is the most beautiful girl that i met ( she looks like this hot filipina model , Maxene Magalona ) and sometimes this dillemma get so worse that i can't sleep or even make me lonely . But inspite all these we are very good friends and she even chose me to be part of her 18th roses last nigth at her 18th b-day or debut . Pls give me advice to move on because that's the best thing i can do and do you think that there's still a chance that i can make her fall in love if they have a break-up due to the fact that i am only in her friend zone. Lastly what's the best thing for me to do so atleast she would always remember me and i can leave a good of impression of myself towards her .... Anyway thanks

I've been notcing recently that Asian women have really been popular with men of all backrounds. I no longer hear men talking about blonds, Latina's, or mixed girls any more, its all about Asian girls now. Why is that? Personally I think its because Asian women tend to be more feminine and have a great combination of beauty and personality. Asian women usually are in good shape where as the majority of women of other races are now obese. Asian women also work hard, age well, are respectful, very cute, appreciative, and carry themselves with class. American women these days are so masculine and nasty, they are basically men.

I recently watched a film in which a mentally challenged person brutally beat a normal man. This raises two points 1) Why don't we keep all mentally challenged people in hospital/jail rather then let them roam free where they can rule the night and attack innocent civilians? and 2) Seeing the beating on TV caused me horrible mental anguish, do you think I can sue the tv channel that showed me that?

I've known this guy for over 1year and 3months....yet he don't act as though he cares for me at all.
He rarely communicate with me only when he wants to have sex or if he knows i'm ill. I do love him and care for him alot..but i feel as though he don't even care for me..much less love me!
He never ask me to go out with him not even to the movies....or dinner no where at all. Anytime i suggest we go out, he says that he can get a movie and we can stay in and look at it.
I dont want to waste anymore time with someone who is just using me....it will be difficult to get over him...but i cant be with someone who dont love me after all these years.
please advise me what to do!

Okay I broke up with my ex bf early last month because he cheated on me and got some woman pregnant. So he calls me and wont leave me alone. I told him that Im getting over him and he needs to get over me. I told him to let me go and leave me alone. But he says that he still loves me and that he REFUSES to let go of me and he hinted that he wants me back. But I told him that I dont want him back.. He wants to be my friend and stay in contact with me. I tried to tell him LEAVE ME ALONE I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU. But he persists that he loves me and he is not giving up on me.He says that he thinks its stupid that I dont want to have anything to do with him just because he got that woman pregnant. I dont understand why he cant just say okay I will leave you alone and we can just go abour seperate ways. How can I can him to understand that NO I DONT WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH him so that he can FINALLY let go of me?
