I have tried online dating like match.com- I have noticed a few things and I wonder if any other guys have noticed these things
or is it just me- also any females opinions or insight is welcome also.

I have noticed that
1) I have written to a lot of women& most do not write back
I get a very small response & sometimes unsolciited responses,
like some people say they are from africa or russia & I thinlk
they are scams.
2) alot of women don't veen look my profile, they just look
at the email real quick.-why do they do this ?
is this the norm? Do guys have a harder time -like
many men writing to one woman ???
3) Its easy to get discouraged- is it worth it to spend my time ???

My bf and i in our mid 20's. Will be dating a year soon. Ok, over the summer, for my b-day, he gave me this statue thing for my candle holder, however, he gave one of his female friends a piece of jewlrey. The friend happens to be handicap and he has been friends with her a long time, ( I don't like her though, she is a trouble maker) however It didn't feel right to me. Although I appreciated his gift to me, why would he give a female friend a nicer gift, but not his own gf. Is it b/c hes a guy and he was not thinking?
anyway for this weekend, i went all out and spent over 80 bucks on him. He told me he got a gift for me to, but im hoping im worth more than a candle holder this time lol. Did any of you women ever experience this when it comes to gift giving?

My bf n i have been going out 4 2 weeks as of 2day. He smokes cigarrettes n pot n i dont like it n im not in2 any of that either. It's discusting, n not the right way 2 deal with problems. Anyway, he was at a party yesterday n ive heard that he smoked like a half an ounce n he told me he wasn't going 2 smoke anything. Then 2day, he went back 2 that house n my friend was with him n he told me my bf was probably getting high again n he said he wud c me 2morro. He knows i don't like him doing it and he said he was trying 2 quit but that he cudn't do it right away but that he's been cutting back. ANd then 2 of my friends said he had a "gf" n novenmber n they had sex but never really broke up or really went out but he told me that he hasn't had a gf n a year n a half. hopefully ill get 2 talk 2 him 2morro but please help me decide what 2 say 2 him 2morro. if a guy that likes to drive, loves his car, but still has travelled over an hr to visit you a few times now... likes cuddling you & hasn't tried anything else (yet) does that mean he likes you like, quite a bit. he's told me he likes me, but he's told me he's not after a relationship at the moment. he wants to work himself out first. and i reminded him that i remembered that, he told me 'i like u tho'... does that mean i'm an exception for maybe a relationship? he's told me i remind him a lot of his ex... tho its a good thing. i'm very shy & i haven't done much with a guy... he told me last night i 'owed him cuddles' but i was too shy to make the move & he didn't make the move either, coz he wanted me to do it on my own... but now i feel sorta stupid... he told me it doesn't matter, he told me completely understands coz its new to me... but seems to like hanging out with me quite a alot lately... any advice is welcome... im not really sure what to think? i like him quite a bit already

Okay so I've been friends with this guy for like 12 years! I stopped handing out with alot of my friends and today I saw him in particular! About 10 months ago we where at a little party and I gave him head but to me it was really wierd! Well today he was like yeah I remember what we did at so-n-so's house, that was alot of fun! Warning: This isn't some "middle school puppy love" situation - we're in college ;) ANYWAY, me and my best guy friend have been friends for about 3 years. Since college, i've just been enjoying the single life and having boys talk to me. I went along with it flirted back, of course. I think back then, i was just riding along with the whole "looks" and "attraction" factor. Now that i'm getting older, i haven't had the time to "meet" and "flirt" with guys..and that stuff doesn't really matter. Now, the stuff that matters in a guy is someone who i know well, i'm comfortable with, and who i really care about. I noticed that my best friend matured alot (he's still a stupid guy but still...) and he's someone i treat like a boyfriend and i don't know why! I get a little jealous if girls like him, i tell him what to do if he's in situation (stressed or sick)...and usually i'm not the jealous girlfriend type - WHY AM I ACTING LIKE THIS WITH HIM??!! Here's the situation, there's a girl who I've been hanging out with the past couple of weeks on and off and I'm having a hard time figuring out if she's interested in me or not. It's a long story but she dated one of my good friends years ago. Ever since the first time we met, we connected. We always stayed in touch, she calls or emails me 97% of the time.
