My bf and i in our mid 20's. Will be dating a year soon. Ok, over the summer, for my b-day, he gave me this statue thing for my candle holder, however, he gave one of his female friends a piece of jewlrey. The friend happens to be handicap and he has been friends with her a long time, ( I don't like her though, she is a trouble maker) however It didn't feel right to me. Although I appreciated his gift to me, why would he give a female friend a nicer gift, but not his own gf. Is it b/c hes a guy and he was not thinking?
anyway for this weekend, i went all out and spent over 80 bucks on him. He told me he got a gift for me to, but im hoping im worth more than a candle holder this time lol. Did any of you women ever experience this when it comes to gift giving?

don't be petty.
If you think this is part of a larger picture .. that is a different story.

I love the amy sederis book out in the book store where she has on the 50s dress and perls and yellow gloves .. with an enormous turkey being given in one hand (sans even plate) and says "I LOVE YOU"....

I did make two women really mad .. my almost gf was very bookish and so I gave her some neet books I liked .. her friend seemed more feminie and I gave her a scarf and gloves at nearly the same value. poor gf thought I did not love her. alas. I did, but she was strange. she dumped me soon after then wanted me back then disapeared.

Not related to gifts, no. But my boyfriend always took pictures with his (and my) friend where he would give her giant hugs-and one picture he even kissed her on the cheek. I was just as confused as you are.. I confronted him about it because it did bother me a lot. If you can, talk to your guy about it and tell him that it bothers you and why. Just let him know that it makes you feel less appreciated when girls who are only friends receive better than his actual girlfriend.
