Warning: This isn't some "middle school puppy love" situation - we're in college ;) ANYWAY, me and my best guy friend have been friends for about 3 years. Since college, i've just been enjoying the single life and having boys talk to me. I went along with it flirted back, of course. I think back then, i was just riding along with the whole "looks" and "attraction" factor. Now that i'm getting older, i haven't had the time to "meet" and "flirt" with guys..and that stuff doesn't really matter. Now, the stuff that matters in a guy is someone who i know well, i'm comfortable with, and who i really care about. I noticed that my best friend matured alot (he's still a stupid guy but still...) and he's someone i treat like a boyfriend and i don't know why! I get a little jealous if girls like him, i tell him what to do if he's in situation (stressed or sick)...and usually i'm not the jealous girlfriend type - WHY AM I ACTING LIKE THIS WITH HIM??!! HELP!!!

Do you want him to be your boyfriend? Well, you know the guy and all for a long time, and you feel comfortable around him, like you said, so may be you want to be his girl friend because you are socially and emotionally attatched to him. Ever think of that?

You definitely have some sort of feelings for him, it makes sense after being close to him for so long. Figure out whether you'd want to be with him or not and then stick to that, if you let yourself keep going back and forth you'll drive yourself insane.

I think you definitely like your best friend! girl I think you know this too. You said it... you noticed him, you are already thinking of him as a boyfriend and you don't like it when other girls like him. So stop trying to figure out why and just go with it!!!

its just normal to feel a little jealous when girls like your guy friends. if you have to ask though, then you do like hiim at least a little, or subconciously. Maybe you will get to like him more or just get over it.

think deep inside you. Do you like him or are you just jealous because he is spending more time with someone else?

Have you ever seen that show Will & Grace, it reminds me of your situation. It sounds like you are close friends.

your story tells me a lot about you, your doing this because he is the type you looking for and it seems like there is no one El's, so just ask him out[the worst he can do is say no]
