Singles & Dating - 4 December 2006

My bf and I for the last four years have been off and on, more on for the last year though. In the beginning, all the bad stuff that happened fell on my shoulders and I understand that. My attitude was horrible and I had a huge wall built around me.

Now I have changed not only for him, but for myself also, my attitude has taken a total 180 and I have let down my guard completely from being a total hard ***, mean and cold. However he tends to be selfish in his emotions. Everything has to be about him now. If he doesn't want to talk about something and deal with an issue between me and him he will completely ignore me and refuse to speak to me at all.

My questions are: is this childish behavior or do you men get like this occasionally? How do I get him to open up to me and quit being a selfish jerk? And what could possibly be his reasoning behind his behavior?

Now I am moving b/c I just got a job out of college and now I doubt if we will survive if we cant communicate. Help!

i met up with this guy i liked for 6 years a few months ago and we saw each other for 2 months and texted all the time he told me he was just out of a long term relationship and did want to get into another i feel his relationship ended badly. i told him i couldn't be with him as i feel i am going to end up hurt as i felt he had enough to contend without me adding to his problems as i want a relationsip with him i am mad about him. i pulled away to give him time as i didn't want to be his rebound or his fun while getting over his pass relationship, does it take time to get over a long relationship. am i doing the right thing i am mad about him should i text now and again or just leave him. please help

Iv only been with my boyfriend a couple of weeks but i stay with him everynight and hes told me loads of times he likes me a lot. He was with his ex for about 10 months and she calls him every single day many times. I don't mind but apparently she was a total stunner n she keeps sayin she want to get back with him and that. He hasnt got back with her but he met her the other friday and i think he still cares about her in a way. He says he doesnt wanna be with her but the other night he was on the phone to her for ages and went out of the room, then last night I read a txt on his phone from her saying that he had said he wanted to get back with her n that he'd meet her on friday and then the next day he'd said he wanted nothing to do with her anymore (and she was mad with him). I really don't understand, she knows hes with me and he always tells me he doesnt wanna be with her anymore but Im worried he'l go back to her. I feel like he'l think Im a control freak if I say somethin. Help !!

I am 23 years old and I just moved across the country to go to school. I took a part time job at a clothing store about a month ago. My boss is 25 and I have been attracted to her ever since I started.The atmosphere we work in allows for alot of contact between us. We are always joking around and touching each other in playful manners.I think we have great chemistry and I really enjoy my time with her. I know it is typically a bad idea to get involved with a co-worker but I am willing to leave the job if we have a chance at a relationship. I have decided to tell her how I feel. Should I just tell her I have a crush on her and wait for a reply. Whould it be better not to confess a crush and just see if she wants to hang out?

3 months ago I told my girlfriend I wanted some time apart because things were moving fast, and we were getting pretty serious. My girlfriend was very upset, but I insisted and we didnt see each other for a month. When I realized how much I loved her I asked her to take me back. At first she was still angry at me, but after a few weeks she finaly took me back.We are happy for the past two months, but last week I asked if she had dated anyone while we were apart - I did not.I found out she not only did date but she even slept with someone she knows from her gym and someone from her work, she says for about 3 weeks she had regular sex .The past few days I have been trying to hold in my jealousy.I know it is my fault and I gave her the freedom, but how do I get rid of my rage without showing it to my girlfriend?I have been asking her details of what happened and we have talked, and i feel i need to know altho its hard. i let her know it is ok to talk about enjoying the sex. am i ok?

I was in a relationship was serious but both knew was going to end due to circumstances but pledged friendship. The last few times together I sensed I was being told stories about a week coming up what was going on. I questioned and said I knew it was a story orstories and why did he not just tell me. He became agressive and defensive and said there was no one else in his life. I now know he spend that week with anohter woman visiting from America. (as a friend ??) He still will say nothing of it and the whole relationship is different between us no closeness not the man I knew. Thing is he is now telling any new possible partners he has been very badly hurt recently.......I am bits at the loss of a man I thought I knew and loved and he it sems feels like because I said I felt he was lying is going around saying I hurt him. He will not communicate properly in spite of my best efforts to talk as two adults...says I go on. How can he take the moral tone with me?

During this year,I have been living in the pains from my bf who I met online.He loved and spolied me very much.But now he has changed,every day I connect with him,he is cold to me.I think he has found another,but I asked him,he says no.If he can tell me his thoughts directly,I will give my best wishes to him.But what a pity,he refuses to tell me his real thoughts.we are in different countries,I cannot go to see him.what I can do is to wait for him here.It seemed that he will not plan for our meeting any more.I am so painful,every night I will cry,I miss him so much.Too much pressure and depression in my heart.I hate myself I love him so much,I am so scard,if he really breaks up with me.I don't know how to move on my life.Because I know I will not trust or love any men.It is so hard for me.I really want to kill myself.so I can get away from the pains.But I am worried about my parents.

NEXT INCIDENCE OCCURED IN 1993 WHEN I CAME ACROSS A GIRL WHO USE TO TAKE BREAKFAST DAILY WITH ME AND SOMEHOW ICONFESSED HER MY LOVE THROUGH GREETINGS .ON ASKING SHE SAID HEIGHT OF MISUNDERSTANDING I DO NOT KNOW WHEN YOU WILL BECOME MATURE.I SAID OK AFTER AMONTH SHE LEFT BUT ICOULD NOT FORGET HER SO I WROTE TO HER ALSO TRIED APHONE CALL BUT COULD NOT SPEAK TO HER AND DO NOT MEET HER BUT SHE MET ME BEFORE LEAVING INFORMING ME THAT SHE IS LEAVING.
