Depends on the situation.
If you are taking care of, or helping out a parent, that could possibly slide.
Most women want to see that you don't have a "failure to launch" issue.
Also, if we allow you to take us "home" we usually don't want to have to worry about "quiet, don't wake mom"
And we didn't move out of our parents house to move in with somebody else's parents.
Then again, you may come off as a mama's boy, and women see that situation as competition. No one like an overbearing mother-in-law.
My advice, fly out of the nest, dude.

I think it depends on the situation. Has the person had some problems that caused this like maybe a bad marriage or some health problems. You have to think about that to. Bad things happen to good people.1 other thing. I am not a shallow person. You never know about people and what they have been through. That person that is living at home with mom and dad may be stuck there weather they like it or not and just hoping that they will meet someone that will understand.

First of all, let me say I would be highly suspect of a woman my age or older still living with parents, unless she has some concrete plans to move out.
Secondly, let me say that's a culturally biased assumption. I don't know about other parts of the world but I know in Korea and Japan it's very very common for people in their 20s to still live at home (even in their 30s). One possible reason is due to the price of living in your own place. I live in a one room apartment (that's right, kitchen, bedroom, living room, all in a nice 15 by 15 foot square) and it costs me the equivalent of $500, and that's just for rent. Living on your own is not as simple as it is in the US.
That being said, I still think living at home on your own has some seriously detrimental psychological effects that could cause a woman to be turned off. It shows a lack of responsibility, and a lack of ambition (no effort to leave current situation). It shows a dependency which is very unbecoming of a man, not to mention an adult. There's a lack of privacy, as well.

At 28 self respecting women are thinking about the possibility of marriage and family. A guy living at home usually doesn't have that desire. Your friends may be getting dates but are they lasting relationships? There are always "one night stand women" out there but any woman worth dating is wanting a relationship and future and would prefer that her date lives out on his own at 28.

Admittadly im married but yes i would date a 28 yr old living at home. Iv got friends in their mid to late 20s that are male and living at hoem becuase its cheap or free and that way they can buy the good cars, go get pissed every weekend, and save for a good house and to be financially secure. Or they are looking after ill parents or helpign will ill siblings If they where in there mid 30s on then id be asking why are you still at home.
Women can be shaloow, and though we are more sensitive most have too higer standards and dont look beyond the stero-type plus if they want sex they dont want the parents to be around.

No! I learned my lesson. women are different. We do our own laundry, clean the house, food shop at a much earlier age. Double standard, it's still considered women's work. Mommy's take care of their little boys who still live at home they don't take care of their little girls

Because boys tend to be mammy's boys! They are under their mother's thumbs & girls know that they are going to have to share the affection of that fella with the lads mother. It has happened to me. His mother used to even go mad if he stayed over at my house & never told them he wouldn't be home!
