Singles & Dating - 13 November 2006

I'm 19 and my boyfriend, Craig, is 24. His friend and girlfriend are coming up for dinner. Here is the problem: I'm dreading going because I'm so shy, and I also feel embarressed of my age when everyone else can drink. It's embarressing when everyone has to get IDed because there's someone under 21 at the table.

Last time this sort of thing happened, the waitress made such a big deal over IDs and embarressed me. I just wanted to leave when Craig ordered shots for everyone.

I'd hate to ruin the good time, but I really don't want to go. I'd drink to losen up before we go out, but just being my age and being shy is enough to make me not want to go. Not only that, but everyone always likes to go to bars after dinner, and I'd just ruin the fun because I can't get in.

I'm going to talk with Craig later (he knows how I feel but not to this extent).

So I haven't talked or seen this girl since April, but I think about her alot. We used to work together, till April, when I left for another summer job, and she went to Europe for the a few months and also quit. After she got back I had some surgery so I didn't go much all summer. Back at university now, and I really want to talk to her but I'm pretty swamped because I'm just starting law school. I don't get out as much as I'd like to and I haven't seen her around at all. Would it seem desperate to call her out of the blue? Let me know, any advice would be helpful

I have a problem that I am extremly attracted to my guitar/piano teacher. I'm a senior in highschool and she is around 22. She is really really pretty and we share a lot of the same interests. The only thing is I know for a fact she doesn't like me like that. So...I'm just wondering what I should do. I think about her constantly and while a lot of it is just sexual attracion I don't think all of it is. During lessons I look for ways to brush up against her or...well anything. I personally think it is better that a guy masturbates to porn than
cheat. If a guy masturbates, he is not going to be looking at
the wall street journal. The time that a man may not be getting
along with his wife may be short term but the guy does not know
how long.My wife would make excuses and dress unsexy

I have been with my girlfriend for over 5 years. She cheated on me about 3 years ago, and denied it. She came clean about it about 6 months ago and now I don't know what to do. Things are only complicated by the fact that we have a small child. I don't really want to be with anyone else. But I don't know if I can forgive her. I really don't know what to do. Hi! im 17 and my bf is 19 we've been together for a year and 5 months,i know i love him but he cant communicate he cant talk to me when we fight he just doesnt talk, he doesnt demostrate anything like if i dont say i love you he wont say it there have been like 3 or 4 times that i felt he truly loves me.
We see each other like 3 times a week and he doesnt seem to miss me and just dont think he feels the same thing i feel.

Why do you like to watch us gymnasts on varsity team practice?? Would you ever date a 5'1 90lb gymnast with brown hair/eyes, and a sweet/kind/caring disposition and a vegetarian?? I do eat but train like 5hrs a day and it burns off.I am a sophmore but am the only 1 on varsity.(I was j.v. last year, cuz i suck.eventho most frosh are on frosh.)

Attraction --> love --> commitment (I think?) She seems only commited to be uncommited to anything. I know I can't change her, and I can't help if she doesn't want it. i like this guy
we went with a club from school to go see a movie and we sat beside each other & the whole time we talked and im not sure if he likes me?
he also sits right behind me in class and is always picking on me and poking me with his pencil eraser(he has found out that i am very tickalish) and always talking to me

I care about him, but I know he has a lot of emotional baggage and is still getting over his ex.

I treat him like a friend and he ignores my emails or questions. And he only comes around when he wants something.

I treat him like MORE than a friend and he tells me I'm making him uncomfortable and all the negetive stuff about me which he doesn't like and how we could never be more than friends.

If I back-off and don't talk to him for awhile, he thinks I'm mad because he doesn't like me the way I like him. But, I am just sick of being hurt.

Should I keep him at a distance? I honestly don't want to break ties with him because, as I said, I do care and want to be there for him. Is this a phase of him getting over HER? Because there is only so much of this I can take before my self-esteem starts to crumble.
