So I haven't talked or seen this girl since April, but I think about her alot. We used to work together, till April, when I left for another summer job, and she went to Europe for the a few months and also quit. After she got back I had some surgery so I didn't go much all summer. Back at university now, and I really want to talk to her but I'm pretty swamped because I'm just starting law school. I don't get out as much as I'd like to and I haven't seen her around at all. Would it seem desperate to call her out of the blue? Let me know, any advice would be helpful

Not at all. I think it would be nice, if she liked you too she will be thrilled. After the move to Europe and surgery, anyone would understand why you haven;t contacted her sooner. I think she will be Very Very happy to hear that you think about her alot, What girl wouldn't???

No not at all if you don't make yourself look desperate, call her up one afternoon and just tell her you were calling to see how she was doing, how her job is going, if you have missed much and maybe ask her if she wants to catch up on old times over lunch or something simple!

Call her if you want to. She's not under any obligation to talk to you if she doesn't want to talk. But if you're going to make excuses for not seeing her right off the bat (like law school) why are you even bothering her? You don't sound like the type who wants to follow through with any sort of relationship right now.

I think you should try tlaking with her. Ask her out or just have a conversation with her.
You'll regret later if you don't give it a try these days.
Maybe it would turn out ok. But even if it turns out bad, that shouldn't upsat you.. in this case, maybe she wasn't the girl for you and it's better to find out this sort of things sooner than later, believe me.
