Singles & Dating - 15 October 2006

Basically the girl I like has a boyfriend. With it being our senoir year in high school I want to tell her how I feel before time runs out. How can I prove to her that I am better for her than him, and how do I tell her that I really like her?

I'm a bit shy around her. We talk and she smiles and laughs and even kissed me on the cheek at a dance recently. I just need to tell her how I feel. I am good looking, and am pretty smart, and think that I am the perfect gentleman.

How do I tell her that I really like her?
Is it okay for me to just say that I thinks she amazingly beautiful, smart, funny, and that I love her smile. I almost feel as though she is my soulmate, like we have that good of a connection, at least i feel that way...

I need advice. She has a boyfriend, and I want her. How do I do this?

GRR....ok so i'm 13 right now. my mom thinks the the perfect age for dating is 26. 13 more years to go, apparently. her logic is that 26 is the age i'll be when i finish my doctorate degree in grad school.

whoo hoo! so don't u think that's a LITTLE ridiculous? and yes, she's completely serious about it! no. dating. until. you. are. 26. get. it?

is there any way i can get her to let me date earlier?

I gave a girl a sonnet she said she wasn't interested and then i wrote her a letter thanking her for her reply or something like that. Anyway people here said that i would get over her but the problem is that all that happened a month back and i still blush when i am near her or sitting infront of her(don't tell me to change seats cause i cant) I haven't gotten over her. what should i do? Also about catching her in the halls is not possible. I only see her in class. Also my accent is a little difficult to get, is she thinking that I'm some freaky immigrant? please leave an answer

okay, my boyfriend and I are high school sweet hearts, I'm still in high school, and he goes to college 6 hours away from me. The past 5 months of our long distance relationship have been great. but now he doesn't call me like he used to. Okay, so i've been going out with this guy for like almost a week now,He's 16 i'm 14 and He says he likes me alot, but he doesnt ever ask me anything about myself, and he never calls unless i text him, reminding him or telling him i'm mad at him. he always forgets, like last night, i called him but he was out skatebording with his friends, and told me he would call me back later. So later happend, and no phone call from him. And even today, still no phone call. I was thinking of calling him, but i dont know if i should. His friends always ask me things about myself, and one of them actually does call me, but my boyfrined doesnt. If he says he really likes me, why wont he call?should i ask him about it? he used to flirt a lot before when we went out, but i've noticed he's stoped since we started going, som maybe he does really like me. but i dont know, is it because he just doenst care, or is it a guy thing?

I never know what I should do. I usually look away at first because I don't want anyone to think I'm a pervert, but then I always look back because, well, it's not everyday you get a peek up a girl's skirt and I am a guy. Is it harmless to peek as long as I am not sitting there staring and drooling?

this question is for my guy friend.
So my friend has liked this girl for 3-4 years now. she always tends to lead him on every now and again, but nothing ever seems to happen. He has already expressed how he's felt about her a couple times. And as time goes by he gets more depressed about the situation. So do you think he should keep chasing the love of his life or just move on? And if you think he should move on, what advice do you have to stop talking to her.... because it's tough for him!

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years, and about a month ago I found out I was pregnant. I went to the obgyn a couple of days ago, and found out that I might have a miscarriage. He hasn't been answering any of my calls since I told him, and when I showed up to talk to him in person he said "What's wrong? You can't fake being pregnant anymore?" I was so offended that he would even THINK of saying something like that, and I pulled out my paperwork and showed him. After he looked it over he told me he had other stuff to do so he had to go. So I told this girl, a friend, that I've liked for over three years, that I really liked her today. I asked her to a concert and she said yes, but then had to back out because of family reasons. She has been on my mind to a point where it might be unhealthy.

I told her everything today and, although she was sweet about it, she doesn't want to have a relationship right now. She said it wasn't because of me, but because she said that she doesn't fully know who she is right now.

I understand what's she saying, but it still hurts. It hurts to a point where I don't feel like doing anything. She is so perfect and it's killing me that I can't be with her...

Today is the one year anniversary of being with my significant other. Not wedding anniversary- Just being together a year. So the plan was for us to go out to eat. So when we get there his cell phone rings and it is his guy friend and he tells him where we are eating and his guy friend and his friends girlfriend come there and meet us to eat. I just find it really inconsiderate because I had gotten a babysitter to watch my daughter so we could have some alone time for this occasion. So the whole time we were there I did not talk and now he is mad at me and is like what the hell is your problem. I guess he does not see that that was rude of him to invite his friends to something we were supposed to be celebrating alone. What do you think?

so theres this guy that i'm technically just friends with but i think theres potential for something more. the thing is recently he invited me out to dinner and a movie and he paid for everything. i offered to pay for mine, because usually we each just pay for our own but he insisted on picking up the tab.
could that be considered a date even if it wasn't specified as one? does the fact that he insisted on paying mean anything at all? in general what does it mean when a guy pays?
