I am 55 years old. Live alone with my 2 cats. Spend most time alone besides working 2 jobs. I am to the point where I want this all to end. I have contacted women through dating websites and lets say 99% of the time, either get no repsonse or not interested. I have basically given up and resolved to the fact that I will be alone.

Ok heres the deal. I really really like this guy. I think I might even love him but I'm not sure. He is so cute and he calls me my full name and I love it. Sometimes I wonder if he likes me because my friends say he does but how do they know? Why do woman most often say that they have to like a guy to have sex with him? If a woman is hot, most men could greatly dislike her and easily have sex. Woman say their has to be an emotional connection to get it on but for centuries woman as prostitutes(and not necessarily poor ones to survive) have been able to shut that so called emotion off to gain whatever. Not just prostitution, woman screw rich old guys(and young) they cant stand for money all the time. A woman on this site just stated , "anyone can seperate sex from emotion" in regards to another question. Can a woman have sex with a man for the shear pleasure of it and nothing else? No offense, I think most of you are great but can we stop the phoney(unless your in a serious relationship or marriage)emotional connection thing? Where am I wrong? And if Im right, have the honesty to say so. (Dont say "because men are pigs", you have a long history of your own jumping in beds)

OK. Here's my problem. 2 weeks ago my boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me. Our problems stemmed from me being too needy, insecure, and not trusting. I have realized that I screwed up big time. I know that I have some growing up to do, and I'm glad that we broke up because I want time to work on building my confidence and finding out what I want out of life.. But-I still love him. I want to fix me first, but how do I then repair the relationship?

We've been together for almost a year, I barely graduated college and now failed out of tech school (still have $42k job). She wants someone successful, and has stayed with me so far. I am going to be successful, but I'm just getting into the workplace at 26. We live 1000 mi apart, and only I have gone to see her (once a month) because she is "afraid to fly." I was with her last weekend for the first time since I got kicked out of school and she was still upset. We talked and she said she would give me another chance. The rest of the weekend was just fine. She hadn't talked to me for the two weeks prior, and after I left she didn't "feel" like talking. I tried to talk to her and tell her I need someone to talk to at least, but she kept blowing me off. So I got agrivated and hung up. She texted me two minutes later saying we're done. I still love her dearly, am I crazy to try to keep this relationship going?

for starters i have been divorced for 11 months now and have dated two other women,one was a meth freak,the other seems to always be unhappy and i cant seem to do anything right,for example i just bought a new house and we moved in on monday,tuesday all i heard was her complaining about the stairs,then she started about the yard,we have all rock.now she wants grass,at the old house she hated grass,I think that she just likes to be unhappy..so please tell me what is going on in womens heads...i havent got a clue

Long story... I'll try to make it short.
I have a best friend, know each other since 5th grade. We make each other laugh. I moved away 3 years ago but we still keep in touch through chat and e-mail and instant messages. And he just asks me whether there is a chance for us to get together and become a couple? I tell him maybe. In the future maybe but right now is no. As a best friend, I love him to death. But I don't have THAT kind of feeling toward him. He has this prince-ego: he thinks he's the most handsome guy on earth. When he dates, instead of coming by and pick up his girlfriend, he expected his girlfriend to come and pick him up. Beside making me laugh, he knows nothing about me. It took him 2 years to remember my last name and my birthday. He is a nice guy and I have high standards for a boyfriend. I don't know if it would work out. Should I just give it a try? Should I lower my standards or just keep things the way they are? HELP?
