Because we want to get to know you. Any approach (no matter how bad) is akin to saying "you're a beatifull girl, and i would love to get to know you". I don't understand how could you possibly not take that positively and be happy about it.
Why are they "rude"? Because of a fear of being miss-treated and treated badly... so they put up a "macho mask"... so that it's their mask you are rude to, not them.
Ask yourself honestly. Have you ever brushed off, ignored or been rude to someone who approached you? If, yes (which seems like it is), then you get back what you put out.
Try being polite and have manners with EVERYONE who approaches you, no matter how unattractive, uncool and badly approached (you don't have to date them, i'm just saying be polite and friendly in your saying no), and you will in no time notice that men will be very polite and "not-rude" in approaching you. Since you'll put out the positive vibe around you.

Because they're frustrated. Then been trying to approach you all day by yourself but you have been with this bunch of judgmental, giggly girls that they just can't compete with so what do they do? They keep watching you until finally say "Man, forget it!!!" and they walk up to you with this demanding attitude like "we got to go somewhere and talk now!!" with no politeness to it...go figure.

Most of the time they're trying to act like they're all that. You could always tell them to butt out of your conversations, or dis them.....it'll piss them off, but maybe they won't be so rude next time.........
