Sometimes things just run their course. Maybe it was just the right time for her to move on. This sort of thing is not unusual. Some years ago I came home from work to tell, my then G/F it was over, only for her to have her bags packed. Mutual not messy but it happened.
Relationships thrive on honesty , trust & above all communication. I hope you're ok & not to upset. I Know it's hard my noble friend but try to see it as a new begining & try to think of what your next love will be like. Learn from it and look forward. Every new day is a gift, that's why we call it the present.
Chin up Bud & good luck.

Love is not wasting time. A big part of it is putting another persons happiness ahead of your own, but this never includes compromising your own values or being untrue to yourself. Love is special and is to be shared with someone special. Maybe she realized that this was not right for her. 5 years is a long time to assess a relationship. Don't worry, if she is your she will come back and if if she is not youwill find the perfect person for you.

Well, if that is how you feel love is, then to you, it will be wasting time. I think if you spent 5 years with her and didn't commit to more than just dating, you did waste your 5 years.

yessss! it is a waist of time! don't look for it! it does not exist.
what you think is love is a comfortable feeling that you get from been with some one... or lust, the way the person make you feel when you r next to them... chemical reaction to there smell, it is not love...
she left you because she got too comfortable to quick.
she is looking for what she cant have, the next adventure.she must be young.
most people want everything all the time some just want what they have some time...

If you find love or it finds you keep it, It is the best thing in the world to have that one person in your life that makes you smile frist thing in the morning and makes you smile ear to ear at the very mention of there name. Love is real, raw and strong. It is not a wast of time.

love- is enjoying every possible minute you can with someone- loving, learning developing, if your one of the few lucky ones to make it with the same person forever then great- I personally don't believe in a monogamous relationship, however many people do- if you cant enjoy your time with someone anymore then both should walk away and move on, but you will never know true love until you know, and love yourself. that's hard to do, but it can be done.

Love is not a waste of time its a journey. I always remember that some people are in your life for a day, a season and some for a lifetime. Maybe it was her season for change. Move on... Love is waiting for you.

Well, if you think it's wasting time, then it is.
Your girfriend dumped you because you'd been dating for five years. Five years of dating, and no marriage? come on! Where's the commitment? if you're dating for years, why didn't you get married? She thought you were just stringing her on, so she dumped you to try and get someone she could marry.
If you want her back, go propose to her, with the ring and all.
