A friend of mine is going through some issues. She has been with her man for 3 years, and they have a 1.5 y/o son. They are not married but live together. He doesn't show her affection and attention. He was the complete opposite in the 1st year. He gets along great with his son but shows no emotion towards her woman. I know he loves her, but he has this street mentality which makes him act cold hearted. She tells me that they hardly do things together, and they don't really communicate much. If she didn't initiate the conversations, he would hardly speak. I know some guys have affection issues but this is ridiculous. She recently broke down crying and told me and her other friend about what is truly going on. She has heart to heart talks with him and he changes for a month or so.. then he goes back to his old ways. She says that if it wasn't for her son, she would leave him. She would rather remain unhappy and stay with him to avod hurting her child. I feel bad for her. Any advice?

I'm 28 years old & I've notice that some people don't like others(which is natural). But it hatred is VERY high with females.

I see it all the time, Like if female #1 walks into a store or something & accidentally bumps into female #2...#1 says "sorry"...as soon as #1 walks away & is far enough, here comes #2 talking junk about her & don't even know her saying.."She better watch where she going..stupid bit-h!"

And it get even worst with friends & family...females are all friendly to each other once they meet..as soon as one of them walks away they start talking crap about them like...."She thinks she all that & can do whatever she wants..dumb s-ut!"

Males hate males but there's VERY GOOD reasons we do...it could be because one stole from the other..or one cheated with the other's girlfriend..or he's annoying & likes to hang around you all the time.

Females it might be because the other female is trying to look cute, OR she's representing females in a bad fashion.

I am 35 yr old Indian guy working as professor in a US university. I have been living all alone here for 15 yrs now, ever since I came to the US to get my PhD and have been very lonely all along. I Sometime about 6 months ago, I reluctantly acceded to my family's "demand" that I get married and they fixed me up with this doctor girl and we spoke on the phone a few times; six times to be exact. Unfortunately, I was rather resigned in my conversations and didn't really communicate. She asked about my "past" and I told her point upfront that it was " blank". Of late, since I am supposed to go to India and marry her 3 weeks from now, I have started wondering (1) I never asked abt her "past" (2) Since I didn't communicate much, I am surprised that she actually agreed to marry me, so does she have too much of a "past" to be "unmarriageable" in the indian sense? (3) why did she even agree to marry me? am i getting into something i dont understand?

So Ive had this girlfriend for 3 years. She broke up with me about 5 months ago because I was hanging out too much with friends and not paying enough attention to her. I let her go, I didnt care when we broke up and now, 5 months later Im depressed and really started to miss her

I talked to her and told her I would change but she just said that although she still loved me in a way, I better apply my changes and show my love on my next relationship.

Now we're best friends and we almost every night for about 2 hours but I still love her so much. However, she has blocked every romantic feeling she has for me and apparently feels nothing for me right now.

PS. We got together in high school, cause we're both nerdy but then I stopped being nerdy(still am, just more conident) She still is nerdy and extremely shy, never drank a drop of alcohol and never will. She doesn't dress in an atractive manner so guys dont notice her, so that's a plus for me.

What do you think?

MY QUESTIONS: (1) So do you think Stacy overreacted and (2) do you think Stacy read into what her mother meant and (3) My friend Stacy told me that she starts to think "What if" her mom meant. Oh I think you would pick out things that look like crap." even though Stacy knows that isn't what her mother meant. So what do you think? STORY: Today Stacy and her mom stopped at the 99 cent store at her mothers suggestion. Stacy grabbed a beautiful dark green cardigan and two other items (which her mother did not like). Those two items Stacy looked over and decided she didn’t like either. Well actually one her mother did not like the other one her mother said was too short (and Stacy hates short items) Then Stacy also saw royal blue turtleneck to wear under a sweater. When Stacy was on the line to pay her mother noticed the royal blue turtleneck wasn’t in great shape so her mom pointed that out. Stacy got upset and in her mind she thought that her mother was saying that Stacy would only buy ugly things. Stacy said “I just wanted to wear that under a sweater - this one I just needed the collar” Her mother said “Maybe so but you would be able to see that it wasn’t in such great shape” As they were walking to the car her mother said “The dark green sweater you brought is gorgeous” Stacy said “But it sounds like you are saying that I would have brought crap as well”. Her mom “Well you were going to buy that turtleneck. I even told you to get rid of things like that” Stacy “I was just going to wear this under something.” Then about two hours after they got home her mother came into Stacy’s bedroom to ask her something. Stacy said “The dark green sweater I brought is gorgeous” Her mother said “Every thing you brought in the past at the 99 cent store is gorgeous - I even told you that, you just have to stop being so insecure.” Keep in mind Stacy brought many sweaters in the 99 cent store and each item would have sold in Bloomingdales, etc for $100 a piece. These were closeouts. I saw the sweaters: Ralph Lauren, Talbots, etc. NO THEY ARE NOT JUNK. AND her mom loved every sweater Stacy brought at the 99 cent store. Stacy even wore one of the sweater two weeks ago when her family had a fancy dinner party to go and every one wanted her sweater

My current boyfriend is the guy for me and i really love him. He says he feels the same and is always talking about our future together and how im perfect for him. Early this morning though he called and for some reason it came up private call when it doesnt normally. It wasnt a big deal to me but i had only gotten 3 hrs of sleep the night before and wasnt feling all that good. Well he calls back a few hrs later and says he wants to break up because I sounded mad when i talked to him and he didnt want to deal with that. Well i explained i wasnt mad and was dealing with very little sleep. After talking about a few other things he said that he didnt mean it and was just mad and is really sorry and everything and says he still loves me. Will this sort of thing happen again or was it just a one time thing? Can i really believe him because my confidence is a little shaken now.

okay..
this is kind of like a blog.. and a question.
i would write it on myspace..
but they dont need to know about my life..yea weird i know..
but anyways...

my mom met some guy over the internet.
i figured he would be like all of the other men.
things would go great and then my mom would find something wrong with them or something would go wrong no- and no matter how stupid it was they would end up breaking up.
sometimes things jus worked out for the best.
Leo.. one of my favorites..
died from cancer maybe two years after they had broken up...
another who i have some respect for [[though not much]] ended having to move.. he moved to like Texas of something with his ex "wife". so he packed up his trailer and motercycle and before i knew it he and his beer belly were gone.
i didnt even get to say goodbye.. i could really care less.
i probably would have told him to have a nice life and kiss my ***.. but thats beside the pointMORE IN DETAILS SOON. PLZ KEEP THIS ? IN MIND

My boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me yesterday. We haven' really been having issues or anything so I'm sort of confused. We have a really good relationship. We both love each other and are in love, we trust each other, we have respect for each other. Recently he moved and we only get to see each other on weekends, and this is the only time he gets to see his friends as well. He said he finished it because he wasn't happy with the situation. Which in a way I can understand but surely it's something we could work at especially as the other basic principles of the relatioship are there? I'm not sure if its just a shock in lifestyle change... anyway I was wondering who of you think theres a chance things might work out? I'm talking to him about it in a few days.

well I was going out with this guy for a couple of weeks but then I asked him if he liked me-he said he really likes me just can't commit right now because he's too stressed with uni & needs to finish the semester coming up before making commitments & he's sorry its his fault. We used to spend all our time together in the period of a few weeks

When I was talking to him he asked what I was up to n I said nothing and he said what would you rather be doing?...
i replied something bout going out but can't cos have to work th next day. I asked him what would he rather be doing, he said

My brother married a lovely women last year, he made a very nice choice, but I am not sure if his wife made the right choice. Samil ( my brother) is very irrepsonisble, does not have a job that could really support a famly, but his wife is a lawyer so I guess that holds them sturdy. But she seems so nice, and I feel bad for her, my brother is an ok guy, I love him of course, but would have never chosen him for a partner in life. I can tell he will not help Stephanie ( his wife) she will end up doing all the work around the house, and it just looks like a sad life ahead for steph. They seem so happy together, I wouldn't want to ruin anything for them, but I just worry. And thats only have of the problem. 3 days ago, Steph was pronounced preganant! I am certain Samil is not ready for a child, he can barely take care of himself, let alone a child! He acts horrible around my kids and my kids, I can't picture himb being a good father! I am happy for them, and he seemed happy on the phone ..

Mine is a stuffed monkey that my granny gave to me in 1968. It's losing it's hair and the hands are trying to fall off.... But he's still here after all of these years. I was about 8 years old, so that makes him 40 years old. I also have a Raggedy Ann that my granny made for me back in the mid-70's. Both were Christmas presents......

My boyfriend asked me what I wanted for Christmas (cause I never talk about material things that I want, so he had to ask), and I said an external hard drive (cause I don't have one). Last week he told me that he is getting himself a brand new external drive, and that for Christmas he was just going to give me his old one (which is at least a year old, and 80 gigs).

I said, "Are you serious? You're going to give me your cast-off for Christmas?" and he said, "yeah, what's the problem?" and I said, "Can you at least gift wrap it?" and he said, "I didn't know you were going to get so snooty about it - that's a $200 drive! It has firewire!"

Every time I've talked to him since then he's talked about how he's not going to give me the drive anymore because I "snubbed" it.

Was I being snotty? I don't feel like I was.
(Just to give you the other side of the coin, I got him a brand new Wii game, a new DVD, four record frames, and a framed poster).

there is this guy i worked with, he was nice to me, then he got mean , well he got mean with everyone, i guess when my manager told him to quit being mean to people he didnt realize he was being mean, so anyway ,we went out to the bar for a friends going away party and the minute i got there i guess he told a co worker he didnt know why i was there, since i am 20 and not old enough to drink , well then afterwards he saw me and gave me a hug and said my hair looked beautiful, i noticed of course he was drunk but all the people he is mean to at work he was nice to , except me, he kept saying ":arent you 19" then we went to a friends house and i went with a friend of mine and this guy kept saying "why is she still here?';(referring to me)and he sat next to me when i was by myself and he asked me that and then i heard him say something about my boobs (maybe it was my imagination) but he said it when i put on a jacket and he couldnt see my clevege, hes said i have nice ones before, anyway

A guy on yahoo 360, is a bit too friendly with me...he sends me too many emails, comments on my blogs...now he has written a creepy poem about wanting to be with me.

I haven't really been anything other than cold with him...perhaps distantly friendly, I mean I signed his blog once out of politeness...but anyhow, he's getting obsessed with me.

other than staying off 360, what can I do, will he just forget about me in time? or go crazy mad obsessed? he's already sent me 'where are you? is everything ok???' once.
