Mine is a stuffed monkey that my granny gave to me in 1968. It's losing it's hair and the hands are trying to fall off.... But he's still here after all of these years. I was about 8 years old, so that makes him 40 years old. I also have a Raggedy Ann that my granny made for me back in the mid-70's. Both were Christmas presents......

rlaw186... You've got the right idea. Folks, I didn't mean antiques or items that were older than you.... UNLESS that item was a gift to you.... I meant, something that's been in your life forever.....something constant. No matter what's happened in my life...parent's breakup, remarriages, growing up, getting married, getting divorced, being homeless, and just growing old....my old trusty monkey and R. Ann has been there with me! Like old faithfulls.....

Thanks Fro... A 1961 Silver Cup is quite a family heirloom. I hope you hang onto it forever..... BTW, my daughter said she'd get mad if I gave the monkey or R. Ann to my grandbaby---because I didn't give it to her. Lol.... neither will get them. I think I'm going to be buried with them! At least my monkey..... haha
