LACOMBE -- A man accused of killing a person during an argument over $20 turned himself in to police Wednesday night, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain said.

Strain said the suspect, 32-year-old Nickey Landor, told investigators that he shot 20-year-old Albert Marshal that afternoon in Lacombe, near Orleans Avenue and Lake Road. Landor turned himself in at the sheriff’s office at 10:30 p.m., according to George Bonnett, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office spokesman.Police said Landor also gave them the handgun used in the murder, as well as the clothes he was wearing at the time of the shooting.
