try to break off all means of communication first. I got over the guy i love so much by breaking all means of communication for about a yr before starting to communicate back with him.. but as a FRIEND this time round.

Time heals all wounds. So perhaps you should try it. Though it hurts to leave someone you love and moreover for such a long period of time, you will still have to learn to pick up yourself.

Find a guy who treats you better than him. =)

You can go either way on this one. He doesn't beat you, so it's not all bad to try to work it out if you really care about each other. Or, you just have to cut your losses and move on...there's no magic...it's going to take time, and hurt like hell. But, you have to tell yourself that's what it takes to get to a future where you can be with someone that really respects your feelings.

If you do try to work it out, don't let him abuse the whole "problem" angle. If it's really a problem he can't control, and he cares about you, he needs to be trying to get some help. Saying you have a problem, but not doing anything about it...is just making excuses for yourself.

You're right, if he loved you enough, he would control his flirting. It might not be easy, but you should move on. Word of warning though, if you are truly in love with him, then you'll probably never get over him. He'll always be in your heart, you just have to learn to live without him.

You don't. Sorry, it sucks I know but honestly you never do if you truly loved him...They say it takes time to heal your wounds...but all wounds leave scars. Give it time..one day he will become a distant memory:)Someone you remember once in awhile.

It just takes time. Give it 4 months and you will be over him/her.

Realize that life goes on, and that sometimes it sends you things that you have to deal with that are not pleasant - but it will make you a better person.

Keep yourself occupied...such as hanging out with friends and having fun. You know, social activities. Things you can do with your friends that you couldn't do when you were occupied with your lover.
