My Dad lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. It totally devasted him and he started to spiral into a deep depression. He lost a business he'd had for nearly 40 yrs. Here's the thing... Now, I do nothing but work in a new business he and I started so that he can have something to look forward to every day as well as an income and some sort of retirement. He's finally happy again! BUT some people say that I need to get a life and quit working so much and so hard. I'm 40 yrs. old, I don't go out, I don't date, I'm divorced and my kids are all on their own now. I feel that my life is ok even though I do miss doing things and a having a social life but, I just want my Dad to be ok! I've made some bad choices in the past that worried him terribly and now I think I'm finally making a good one that will benefit not only him but my entire family since this is potentially a multi-million dollar business. Am I really doing the right thing by focusing my entire life on this right now?

My GF (I dont know what she is after tonight) have been together for four months. There have been a few downs as do all relationships have them, but tonight we got into a huge arguments because she told me that I act like a child, and that Im never there for her. She told me that because I stress about school and worry about getting a good job because I want to please my parents is immature. The truth is, I want to get good grades and get a good job not only because I don't want to settle for mediocraty, but because I want to make my parents feel that all their sacrifices were worth it. I also want to be able to get a good job, because I was hoping that by doing so I would prove myself to her and hopefully be able to afford a nice place with her in sometime in the future. But for trying to excell and have perseverance she does not want to be with me anymore, because she feels that my stress is causing her to not be open with her problems. What should I do?

My husband says he knows that everytime we have sex I am hoping I will get pregnant. He told me last night that this is a huge turn off. So how am I supposed to stop hoping to get pregnant?

My sister is older than me. We are in our forties.
I have been sick for 7 years. She never asked me how I was doing or whether she could do anything for me. Even being sick I asked her what I could do for her. That doesn't make me better...just a fact. In the beginning she actually made fun of me.
She now has the same symptoms I have. Recently she started calling, but I feel it's only to get information from me that will help her get better.

With the holidays upon us, do I put all of the bad feelings aside or not?

I'm a young woman and I know that guys can take even the most innocent thing a girl does or says into a sexual context(that's what I've been taught or experienced)/

Um I dress modestly, I don't touch guys, I am more distanced from taken guys(whether they are married or have a girlfriend). I don't spend alot of time alone with guys. If they are funny I may smile and laugh alot. If they are an instructor, the one that never grows tired of you if you always are in his office to get help on assignments I do that.

Suggestions? Am I doing anything up there that may be taken the wrong way?

We've been together for 2 years and we have many plans for our future. The issue here is that i can't stand his family: his mother, sister, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins... Nobody. I can't even hear him talk about them. What can I do about it? I love him very much, but me and his family are totally opposites.

"IS SHE LEAVING ME OR NOT?"

I was sent an email from Laura on Saturday which read "no more fun no more nothing good bye!!!!" but later on she sent one to me that said she was prepared to help me become less stressed and less up-tight because I am the serious type and maybe too serious for my own good, I have sent her emails since and she hasen't contacted me since Saturday......anyway is she leaving me or not?? i am really worried but I just dont know what is going on right now as if she was going to leave me I am sure she would tell me properly, she aint replied to my emails as yet although she has been busy as late...

so what does everyone think is happening should I move on or do I just wait and see if she contacts me in the next 48-72 hours??

Please only give genuine answers as I am worrying about things and dont want to stress right now.

My boyfriend and I have been fighting lately and every single time we fight it kills me inside. We just had a huge fight 2 days ago and it hurt me so much that I just sat there and inside I felt like my heart just fell and cracked on the floor and now I am back to the same spot. We got into today's fight for the same reason as Friday and now I feel the same exact way......how can I make it not hurt so much inside when we fight, I can't take it anymore, all I want to do right now is get drunk but that won't really help I just want it to go away.. Here it is true story! I have a friend with a strong religious background. Her sexual appitite is strong,I know, I talk and flirt with her all the time. Once we were drinking & having a good time when I realized she was getting really comfortable on her couch. I was met with a lot cooeing and sounds of passion. The touching and 'grinding' continued! I knew where this was going, but I remembered the story she told me of her ex-husband taking 'it 'from her when she was tipsey. Here is my quandry...I have been seeing a gentleman for about a year now...and we care for each other very much. He has met my kids, and gets along great with them, but is very hesitant to be a father figure in their lives. We get along wonderfully, but I fear that there is not a long term future. About a month ago, I saw an old flame and it was clear that the connection we shared at one time still is incredibly strong, though we did not act on it. He is in the end of his current relationship, and he has expressed to me that he would like to date again. My kids are not an issue with him, as he also has a daughter, and loves children. Here are two absolutely wonderful men....I am conflicted as to what to do, and want to try and find a solution that would produce the least amount of hurt to all involved....

We rented a room to a guy who used to live next door. he paid his rent Nov 1 and moved in. a couple of weeks later he slipped me a note asking if I wanted to sneak into his room at night for sex. I NEVER gave him any reason to think I was attracted to him I'M NOT! I politely said no, I loved my husband etc. subject dropped. But he only paid $50. of $500 so far this month, and sneaks food at night. (not included in rent) now he is borrowing things. My husband feels sorry for him and when I talk to him about it he says I pay the bills etc and won't do anything. I bet if I show him the note he won't feel so sorry for him. He was living with his daughter before so he won't be on the streets. My elderly mother lives with us also and he is asking her for cigarettes now. When I ask when we will get the rent he says fri, then it's mon then tomorrow. I'm tired of the bull. Should I show my husband the note?

Why does he do this?
this guy at my school who attends they same school as i, always stares at me and i feel its disrespectful. he has done plenty of times everytime im by myself, he could be in a group of girls and he does it and when he's by himself. he never says anything, i looked at him one time when he did and he didnt stop. but for some strange reason he speaks to me in public. whats wrong with him

This happen tonite this girl ask me to be her friend on facebook i added her and sent a message saying why did u request me. She writes back and tells me she fucked my boyfriend and he basically is her man. So i called him and asked him about it and he says no let me call you back cuz im bout to call her. He tells me she is just jealous of me and him. I dont know what to believe because he has already been on the iffy side with me i just dont know. I'm in a long distance relationship for 7 months now, and this is our first christmas together and we are going to be apart...
