Marriage & Divorce - 10 June 2007

Thats what my ex wife told me after she asked for a divorce.I was attatched to HER.I was emotionaly available,i MARRIED her. She is a NON PRACTICING Catholic.What the !!! I don't get it at all. I was a good husband,i love and respect her.I treated her like a queen.We had good comunication,so i thought,what happened to her ???

I am going through a divorce in a somewhat small town where things spread like wild fire. I work in a place where a lot of people from this town come in and I hear a lot of rumors. I have 2 children that go to school and do activities here. Does nobody care if things get back to them? Its hurtful. I can't believe the untrue things I have heard about why my marraige split. The people I thought were my friends are saying such horrible things and they have no idea what they are talking about. I always feel like I have to defend or explain myself. Rumors are like opening a bag of feathers in the wind...you can only grab so many to get them back but the rest are spreading so far that you can't collect them. I know I know I shouldn't care what others think but I think everyone does to an extent.

I was the one to open the secret to her, but now its a year and she doesn't want to let go. He is in a trap which could lead him to legal proceedings and bankrupcy. I am the only one for him as his family to has left him, after knowing about this affair. His wife is firm and is making all efforts for him not to get back to me. she had known him for many years before the marriage, and now cannot accept the fact that he has betrayed her. He says it will take a few years to get back together and in no way he wants to get back to his wife. We love each other too much.

its an affair, it make us suffer cos we still can seeing each everyday in work place. we both trying hard to bury the feeling and sometime avoiding each other but the feeling still strong. My husband is what I think addicted to porn and he promised me three years ago he would stop. Now he's telling me it's a bad habbit and to give him three weeks to stop. It's been a few days and he's still doing it. He is very aware that I know this and now tells me if I wasn't such a nag he would't get on porn. But this is his MO for everything. If I didn't do this he would do that...or whatever. Basically he uses me or others as an excuse for his actions. I think he needs help, but he doesn't see that he has any problems. He'll once in a while admit to them, but then continues doing them....like he admits to them because he got caught but really doesn't want to stop. Anyway, he knows how I feel about this and his lies, but he continues. What should I do. How do I get him to realize just what he is doing and get him to stop. Should I get his family invovled...he won't listen to me.
