Having been raised around dogs, and having raised them myself, He is not the master, the dog is. he had better step up and be the master. All I have ever had to say to my dogs is, "Go to your blanket."

Mrs Maple,
I would begin by placing the dog in a separate room at nite. The next thing is to find a nice rollaway bed that will fit next to the couch and in the evening, just move it there. Then find a nice Blue Neglige for you. I might also suggest a CD or Movie at home and a candle lit dinner for two. This should help. If he continues to sleep there at least you can be next to him as you should be. Have a wonderful LORD's DAY!
Thanks,
Eds, Christian

Aks him why he prefers the couch. If you would prefer him sleeping with you tell him that. It seems like a small request that you should have.
I would observe his actions toward the dog. The dog shouldn't be in the room while being intimate. Take action yourself, put the dog out.

That happened to me too when I was dating one of my x's... Whenever we were in bed together, she thought it was "her" spot. She would stand at the end of the bed and bark... When we tried to be close, she would growl and bark until we stopped or I got out of bed. It really freaked me out at times. We tried putting her in the next room, but she would bark and bark. Then we had to tie her up outside. It took a lot of time! When it was bad out, we tried to put her in the bathroom just for an hr because she would destroy the house. When I slept over, sometimes I would sleep on the couch. It was just too much. Honestly, if it ever happened to me again, I think Id give him the option right up front its me or the dog!

Kick the dog out of the room. Why would you want the dog to be in the middle of you both when you are trying to enjoy each other?

Put dog outside bedroom. Shut bedroom door. Or leave dog in bedroom. Shut bedroom door. Join hubby on the couch. Enjoy!

He needs to cage the dog at night or get rid of it alltogether. If he choses the dog over you-I'd get rid of them both. No animal makes the calls in my home. They don't run our house, we do. We have a dog and a cat. I would tell him we are going shopping today for a cage for the dog to sleep in at night or else.

dogs are pack animals, by letting her sleep with the alpha male she is the alpha *****, and to doggy logic you have no right to sleep with the alpha male, the only way you can solve this is assert your pack dominance physically (that is whacking her across the nose every time she growls)
you need to start sleeping with your husband, try sex, men are such simple creatures!
