Friends - December 2006

I had a best friend a few years back, she was truely fab. When I went to uni she stopped calling me. She got a boyfriend, it took over her life. When I told her how it upset me, she accused me of lots of petty things and we fell out. Since then I have tried everything to get her to make up with me and told her how I miss her, but she has been so immature. She talks about me behind my back to mutual friends about how I should apologise. I haven't, but I have suggested meeting up to talk and she has said no. I still think of her, should I keep trying or give up?

there is a girl named kasia gora in my grade and she talks behind my back, uses my friends, and tells rumors to my crush. she use to be my friend but now im done with her!!! i cant just let her keep doing all this stuff. the scary part is she whatches porn and masterbates herself. nasty nasty nasty!!! i need people to give her a dirty look every day at lunch like they do to me. I have a friend, who coupled up with this guy he met on Myspace. They only knew each other for 2-3 days before he 'proposed' her to be his girlfriend. I somehow think it's ridiculous 'cos my friend sort of take it seriously.

Meanwhile, the guy used to have a crush on my friend, which is also a guy. He kept disturbing my friend, sending him messages and stuff to attract his attention. But since my friend hated gays, he completely ignored him. Lately, my guy friend was seeing this one girl, and I think that gay guy was jealous and I think he wanted to make my friend jealous by uhm, having a girlfriend.

So, I think the gay guy was kinda using my friend.
How on earth do I tell my friend about that? I feel the urge to help her but I just don't know how.

He stays with her because shes pretty and smart. The thing is shes bossy, controlling, LAZY, treats him like dogcrap, and spends all of his money faster than he can make it!! If she doesn't get her way she throws a MAJOR fit!! She's a high maintenance, spoiled, and controlling big city b@tch, he's a down to earth, simple, and sweet country boy! How do I tell him that just because his girlfriend is "pretty" and "book smart" doesn't mean he should stay with her?

Ok so i'm asking this on the internet because if i told anyone i knew it would be classed as slagging her off!

My mate has never had a boyfriend. She is 15 so there's nothing wrong with that, but my worry is she has had sex, kissed lots of boys and done other sexual activites with them. The thing is every boy she has done stuff with she has never liked. I don't understand i think she is desperate as harsh as that sounds. she does not have much interest from lads but i wish she would find someone before she lets anymore of these lads take advantage.
I really don't know how to explain to her because she will probably fall out with me. :| Of course i'm not going to say oh you must be desperate if you let them do this to you and you don't even like them but i want to say something to her about it .

Here's the thing, me & my "BFF" have been friends 4 over 14 yrs. Lately i've kinda been fed up & have been not ignoring her on purpose but i just need my space & we got in a huge uncomfortable fight like a week before Thanksgiving & havent really talked since then. I LOVE 2 go out clubbin, mall, movies, drive in, karaoke bars hang with friends & scrapbooking. She doesnt want 2 do any of these things & it drives me crazy. She got mad at me for finally getting the nerve to sing @ karaoke w/my other friends & not with her. Another time i wanted to go see "MI:2" when it came out & she wouldnt even go! She doesnt like action movies. I told her i'd even pay i just wanted her to go with me. I end up ALWAYS doing things she wants to do and i feel like life is moving on without me. We always run her errands & then when it time for us to go to my store she has to go home cuz its late & she has work the next morning. I feel even if u dont like something u do it anyway cuz ur BFF does? Am i wrong?

It's Christmas again, and once again I spent around £15 each on my four closest friends. In return I got back basically the same as last year, absolutely nothing apart from one of my friends bought me a book I really wanted.

I also sent Christmas cards to at least 18 people that I know, and recieved 0.

It was my Birthday two days ago and all I got as a gift was a bottle of wine from one of my friends, and not so much as a "Happy Birthday" from any of the others. (Bearing in mind that I spent roughly £20 on each of them for their Birthdays throughout the year)

It's not that I give to recieve gifts, but it would be nice to just have a card or something?! What should I do? Should I tell them that they are thoughtless and inconsiderate selfish etc? Or just wait until next year and not buy anything at all for them? It's just depressing really... Give me your opinions please :)

But, my 'best friend' broke up with her long lasting boyfriend, they have at least been goin' out with eachother for at least a year and then she broke up with him. And now my ex and her are goin' out. I feel bad for my ex because the same thing might happen to him, and I don't want him to go through that. my husbands exwife uses thier 7 yr old daughter like bait to get what she wants and to controll my husband.she still loves him after 6yrs and uses any chance to just call him up and chat(daily)she can't stand me,being i married her husband(no he did not leave her for me)and limits my contact with thier daughter(can't spend time alone with her,not allowed in her school)even through the both have joint custody and the list goes on.so please there has to be other people like me in this situation how do you do it?please don't say tell you man to get some balls and tell his ex off becuase he will not.he has allready told me to except it or he is going to divorce me if i bring it up again.i keep hoping she will find someone and leave us alone but shes so nasty no one wants her.

i,m a student and i,m studying math in Iran And i had to go to some classes.sometimes i can sleep for just 6 hours.Because of the stress i can,t talk normally and also i had some problems in speaking when i was 6 years old .I have a lot of Friends but none of them are my best friends.you know i usually afraid to talk with some people more than 5 and for this i can,t join to groups.i was a painter and a swimmer when i was younger and i had everything i wanted now i don,t have enough time for painting and doing exersice.On the week i had to cry once or i will shout at my Mam,Dad and friends.I think my problem is a girl in our class who thinks she is the boss.She hates me for no good reason and respect to other students and so her friends don,t have a good relationship with me.also i,m very alone my family(Mom and Dad)don,t like to meet new people.

I have a friend who's really mean sometimes. I do better then her in school, and for some reasons that bugs her so much that she has to compete with me about everything - she's told me that my boyfriend is ugly and if she got a boyfriend - she has never had one - he'd be more handsome, she always plays out that she's very popular or at least more popular then me, she always brags about her self, and at times says very mean things (that I look awful, that her career is so much better then mine). I always congratulates her when she does well and support her when she doens't. And the thing is, we're in our mid twenties! Now it's gotten so far that she doesn't call me her best friend anymore, I'm just an "aquantience".. However, she does spend a lot of time with me, and wants to "hang" quite often.

I don't know what to think. Is this relationship over or is she just having some kind of phase?
