Then smile, say thank you and wear them one time in her presence.

When you think about it. Where did presents come from? The 3 wise men that gave Jesus gold, frankincense, and myrrh. So what would Jesus do with these things? nothing of course. So when you get down to it the giving of gifts is just to honor someone not really to make them happy. My sister got dishes and I got socks. I couldn't be more happy.

If she is a true freind, she will expect you to be honest, you can do so by asking her if she would mind if you exchanged them because you don't like them and tell her why you don't like them. If you don't have the nerve to be honest with your best freind, then suck it up and wear them in her presence. Some where down the road you can tactfully educate her on your tastes.

Say thank you and be grateful that your friend was thoughtful enough to give you a gift. Then throw them in the closet and forget about them, or better yet, donate them to charity.
If you tell your friend that you don't like the gift, you come across as ungrateful and selfish. It is better to keep your opinion to yourself about things like this.

Yes, i know all about that kind of present.
my friend used to give me those little boxs of chocolate covered cherries for the longest time; i think they are .99 cent a box. is not how much she paid for my Christmas present; the fact that I disliked that kind of candy; i don't know where she got the idea , anyway.
Just accept it gracefully and donate it or give it to a kid.
the way I got rid of the candy i used to take it to work every time.

If it's a friend honesty is the best policy, but be nice about it. tis the season for exchange. Tell them you wanted to exchange them for shoes or something.

Just tell her that you don't really like them and see how she reacts that way, maybe she'll understand, hey that happend to me on christmas okay, my aunty gave me a pair of pajamas that weren't my size.but any ways,at least you got something 4 xmas.i mean try them on,if any body teases you she'll be there for you.i mean how bad could it be?at least she'll be proud that you acutually wore them for ONE single day.just try to express her feelings, instead of breaking her into peices, but im sure she'll understand(i got a tip, try them on and pretend that you like them and when she's gone throw them away or give the to your cousin, hey that what i did to my pajama's,i gave it to my cousin and it fitted her, but just try them on)

sell them on ebay and buy something you like.
tell your friend that you gave them to a homeless person that had no shoes.
Hey, there's an idea! Give them to a homeless person with no shoes.
