I had a best friend a few years back, she was truely fab. When I went to uni she stopped calling me. She got a boyfriend, it took over her life. When I told her how it upset me, she accused me of lots of petty things and we fell out. Since then I have tried everything to get her to make up with me and told her how I miss her, but she has been so immature. She talks about me behind my back to mutual friends about how I should apologise. I haven't, but I have suggested meeting up to talk and she has said no. I still think of her, should I keep trying or give up?

This friendship will never be as it was before. Different experiences has changed both of you. You are longing for a lost time when you should be concentrating on making new relationships pertaining more to your life as it is now.

I wouldn't bother with her, if she is being like a baby throwing her toys around let her. She might have seemed great then but things change and so do people. Same thing happened to me a few months ago with my best friend, I thought things would never be the same without her. Turns out things are better than ever. Move on with your life and try to forget about her. Its easier said than done but its great when you can move on.

I'd give up for now, she's too immature to deal with. Maybe she is hurt that you went off to Uni, but this is not the way to sort it out, leave her to grow up a bit.

No. The girl sounds like her boyfriend and new friends or whatever has turned her into a stuck up *****. She wasnt your best friend if when you moved she forgot about you. Dont apologize, it sounds to me that you have done nothing wrong. And if this girl wanted to make up with you, she would have started talking to you by now.

Id leave it now if I were you,it would never be the same again if you made friends, you know she has been talking about you behind your back.
You were young when you were friends before, you probably have more idea of what true friendship is now your more mature.

hello don't waste too much time on her your obviously trying your hardest with her and your making all the effort, just try asking her one more time to meet you so you can discuss your issues if she refuses then she isn't much of a friend,at least you can say that you tried (maybe she doesn't deserve such a good friend like you)

oh thats so dread! i dont know why u are botherin, u apologised and if shes being immature then its more of her loss than yours coz u tried. if u feel u dont wanna give up then apologise ONE more time and try talk to her, if shes still being stuck-up then leave it and let her ome 2 u. she'll prolly will, eventually.
good luck!

Why would you want a friend like that, clearer she thinks nothing of you! I'd just forget her and concentrate on better friends you could be with. I know its hard when you were once close but its time to move on.

in most situations like this i think that as we move on and grow up it is possible to put the past behind us and become great friends again (i experienced something similar myself) however on this occasion it seems to me your (ex) friend is not interested and has not changed... move on and find more fulfilling relationships where you don't have to do all the running

Move on you've tried your best it's her thats missing out. When shes older she will realise this and kick herself for missing out on a great friendship.
