I'm friends with this girl and we "were" pretty close but now i don't feel like we're talking anymore. When she calls and wants to go somewhere with me, i make an excuse. I just don't feel like we should b friends anymore. How do u break it a friend?? I don't want to hurt her and I don't want her to hate me.

Plus, we don't have much in common. She likes going to the park, while i tend to stay home.

Wow that pretty sad, i guess you have your reasons...but i guess you should just tell her up front...its better to be straight than to just string her along..I would hate to have sombody do that to me...I have a feeling somebody is doing that to me so i say the hell with her..so I am just laying off and taking the hint.....i'm not sure how long it will take her to take the hint?.....good luck..

I know exactly what you're talking about, I've been in the same boat. My best friend and I have been friends for 7 years. Long time, yes. But every now and then when she calls, I don't answer it. And sometimes when she invites me to hang out, I'll tell her I can't go anywhere. It's very natural to not want to spend every waking minute with your friends. I don't spend that much time with my own best friend, but I talk to her on the phone sometimes. Before you decide that you truly do not want to be friends with her, think about it. I almost decided a few weeks ago that I didn't want to be friends with my best friend anymore. She'd not been acting like a real friend, criticizing me, etc. I said "Who needs her?" i was ready to quit being her friend, even after 7 years "together" (as friends) but then I thought about it and said "u know, maybe i should think this over." so we were spost to hang out and honestly, i dreaded it. but then we hung out one day and i actually had a good time and came away feeling like i'd accomplished something and decided i shouldn't throw away our friendship. hang out with her one day, and u may be surprised. if not, you should talk to her and tell her u want to take a break from her;nicely. good luck!

I've experienced the same situation myself some people are kind of messed up in there thinking of the real meaning of frienship.They want to be bothered with you when it's convienent for them my opinion is let her know how you feel and hopefully she'll understand without having an attitude. if you dont want to hurt her and she not hate you, why break friendship at all? Ask yourself whats bothering you? Talk to your close friend (not that girl) about it. Believe me, friendship is a implicit contract of trust. Breaking it can be traumatic for both of you.

She'll hate you more if you just keep blowing her off and make her feel like you're better than her. Just be honest with her and tell her you think you're different people and although you respect and like her you just don't think you make good friends.

It depends on why you dont like her anymore . That means may be you dont have True relationship in past . IF relationship is true, you cannt avoid her that way . She will get gurted more if you ignored her. You are already hurting her by ignoring her. Just simple answer. Ask yourself if you want her or not ?

Perfectly normal for people to move apart especially at your age (assuming). You don't have to say or do anything, it will just happen.

pull her to the side and and just tell her if she is ur friend she wont really care!!!well she will but she should respect ur recquest!
