gmail is like yahoo mail or any other site...
If he wanted to impress you he would have gotten an account when it started, like three or four years ago, like the rest of the 'beta' community.
Heck - if I can email you - I'll invite you with pleasure - then you can tell him, at least you were invited to the community.

It's google's e-mail service, just like Y!Mail. Only it is much, much, MUCH!!!!! better. you get almoast 3Gb of storage space, so you won't have to carry disks and cd's with you, they have an spam scanner, and a much better designed interface than Yahoo. I really recommend it. I have an account there, and i have to say that the sole reason i'm usin Y!Mail is Y! Messenger. I would use G-Talk, but none of my friends use it... It's a trend...what can i say....

It is an email account provided by google. It boots up much faster than yahoo or hotmail because it has less crap associated with it. It also organizes your emails in conversations instead of just by time or who set it...
I highly recommend it....but it never occured to me that girls would be impressed because i have an account....maybe i'll try that...

it's email like yahoo but on Google! and you should have invitation from one who already has Gmail account.
