Here's the thing, me & my "BFF" have been friends 4 over 14 yrs. Lately i've kinda been fed up & have been not ignoring her on purpose but i just need my space & we got in a huge uncomfortable fight like a week before Thanksgiving & havent really talked since then. I LOVE 2 go out clubbin, mall, movies, drive in, karaoke bars hang with friends & scrapbooking. She doesnt want 2 do any of these things & it drives me crazy. She got mad at me for finally getting the nerve to sing @ karaoke w/my other friends & not with her. Another time i wanted to go see "MI:2" when it came out & she wouldnt even go! She doesnt like action movies. I told her i'd even pay i just wanted her to go with me. I end up ALWAYS doing things she wants to do and i feel like life is moving on without me. We always run her errands & then when it time for us to go to my store she has to go home cuz its late & she has work the next morning. I feel even if u dont like something u do it anyway cuz ur BFF does? Am i wrong?

Maybe you're moving in different directions in life. She may be jealous of what you're doing with other people, but if she won't try to be a part of it then it's her own fault. You should have an honest heart to heart with her and tell her that you love her but you feel like she needs to put in more effort into the relationship or you don't see it continuing. You're a good friend for caring.

I think that maybe your friend might be hiding something, it seems as though she could be jealous or maybe, since you've been friends for so long, she is just a little sick of you? Although it is not fair that you have a friend that is being very selfish, in only doing what she wants and not understanding how other people feel about this, I think you need to sit down with her and have a talk, or if this is just to hard you should make some new friends that love to do that stuff with you, and maybe she'll learn not to treat you like dirt when your having fun and she's bored and got no one to hang around with, it sounds harsh, but she's the one who's being harsh!!!

It sounds like you guys are growing apart. You grew up liking other things. It's like when you are in middle school, you have a best friend and ever thing is great and then when you get to high school, you split and end up hanging out with different crowds. Maybe you grew out of it and she didn't. Eventually you will grow even further apart and she will bother even more. She either needs to make new friends or she needs to stop being a wet blanket.
You also need to tell her how you feel. You need to stop living your life around her schedule. You both will end up getting hurt if you don't say something soon.

Sounds like you're growing apart. Certainly, best friends aren't carbon copies of one another, but they are supposed to reach mutual agreements and compromise. Then again, this might just be a phase you're going through with her. I say, as long as the arguments don't lead to you guys hating one another, and/or she doesn't start telling your business trying to ruin your reputation - see this one out a little longer. But make sure you keep your ear on the floor, walls and ceiling because it may turn out the she has the problem that no amount of time or forgiveness can fix.

You are not in the least bit wrong. She sounds like a taker and shes controlling the relationship. You are going in different directions too. You should do the things you want to do. It means moving on without her. She cannot expect you to be the giver all the time and never compromise and do what you would like to do. It's your choice if you want to be her slave or enjoy your own life. I would pick enjoy if I were you.
Shes a major downer in all ways.
Lady, go have fun with your other friends.

Maybe it's time you each went your separate ways. Things and people change after 14 years. You can't hang on forever.

your right but only in certain cases.

first, i dont go EVERYWHERE my fbest friend does. we give each other space and see each other every other day or so. and if she asks me if i want to go some where i dont want to go then i just tell her "nahh, thanks though."

but if she really wants me to go or needs me to go then i will because im her best friend. but your best friend is being self involved. and thats not a best friend at all. she is being controling.

and you need to confront her. it was be so unconfrontable but its better for her to understand why you are being the way you are. she needs to understand what is wrong with your guyes friendship if you wnat to keep your friendship.

i hope i helped.

good luck!!!

Just because shes your best friend doesnt mean she's the "best" friend. Think about why you thought you were BFF in the first place.

this is a poem thats goin around myspace right now....
HATE EMO?
READ THIS:

Isnt it funny that when you go to the shops with your friends you look down at the girl with black jeans and studs but smile at the girl wearing a mini with a tshirt that barely cover anything?

Isnt it funny you can change your music taste to impress a guy but when it comes to a girl who likes her own music and her own style, you give her a mouthful?

ISNT IT FUNNY that a guy can get away with being a gangsta but the emo gets a mouthful from everyone

are you laughing?

Isnt it funny a emo can be quiet all through the week but gets more **** from everyone than the girl who sleeps around and sells her virginity?

ISNT IT FUNNY that you dont mind your friends drinking, smoking but the minute someone mentions emo music you can give them a lecture on melodramatic teenage outcasts?

im not laughing.

ITS SO FUNNY that you and your friends can make a girls life hell and not know anything about the silent battle she might be fighting.

ISNT IT FUNNY that you can call emos, punks, goths the retards but still manage to get through your day without an inch of guilt in your heart.

HOW YOU CAN CALL A GIRL A POSER, HOW CAN YOU SAY "YOUR NOT EMO" OR "ATTENTION SEEKER" WITHOUT SPENDING A SECOND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THERE ARE CUTS ON HER WRISTS AND WHY SHE SPENDS HER LUNCHTIMES CRYING INSTEAD OF LAUGHING WITH HER FRIENDS

KEEP ON LAUGHING

isnt it funny you can say and do all this without any idea of what is going on in this persons life

without knowing her situation with her friends

or her family

or her LIFE

BRAVE ISNT GOING UP ON STAGE AND STRIPPING

BRAVE IS NOT SAYING A SPEECH

OR DUMPING YOUR BOYFRIEND

BRAVE IS

GOING TO SCHOOL ON MUFTI DAY AND NOT FOR A SECOND CARE WHAT THE WHORES AROUND YOU ARE SAYING ABOUT YOUR CLOTHES

ITS LISTENING TO YOUR OWN MUSIC AND BEING PROUD OF IT

ITS GOING THROUGH EVERY DAY WITH THE THINGS PEOPLE SAY TO YOUR FACE AND BEHIND YOUR BACK AND YOU STILL KEEP QUIET

ITS KNOWING WHAT YOUR "FRIENDS" ARE SAYING ABOUT YOU AND STILL CALLING THEM YOUR FRIENDS

BRAVE IS KNOWING THAT TOMOROW ISNT A BRIGHT AND HAPPY FUTURE

ITS ANOTHER DAY OF BITCHING AND DODGING RUMORS

KEEP ON LAUGHING.

if you agree than post this.
