My friend had said he was going to call me soon. However, it's been a full day since he said that. The issue we need to discuss is rather important. I don't, however, want to bother him. And I've heard that, since I'm the girl, my friend (the boy), should call ME (you know, it's kind of like the whole "boy-must-ask-the-girl-out-and-not-girl-must-ask-boy" thing). Is this true? If not, then should I really call him? I mean, it's the day before New Year's Eve, so shouldn't he be kind of busy? And if this stereotype IS true, then should I just wait for him? What do I do? Guys, do you prefer a girl calling you (even though you promised you'd call her), or calling her yourself? Girls, if you've ever been in a similar or identical situation, what did you do? Help, anyone? What's the proper etiquette when youare dealing with this? Please, serious answers only.

there was this girl who was in my orchestra class. i failed orchestra the other year so i had to be with the sixth grade orchestra and i am a 7th grader. that girl made a lie to the school staff( principle, assistant pricinple, vise assistant principle) that i harassed. she made all these lies that i touched her and hit her and was about to hit her. i pulled my shirt in orchestra class to my friend to be funny. my friend sat right next to her and she thought i was doing it to her. she made a lie that i pulled up my shirt and said will you go out with me baby. then, the school staff didn't believe me so i had in school spension(iss) for 2 days. then i got mad because my dad, sister, and mom didn't believe me so that night i told my friend to get on the phone and prank phone call her and he did. then i was told not to go to school until i use counseling for a day. they thought i was a threat to the school. that was at home, not at school. do you think that is fair?

I dont know what im feeling now?
I had people over...the guys just wanted to ****...one of my guy "friends" who I dont know well came....he got lost and I had to give him 20 gas money to get him home this morning. He's not attractive but he likes me a lot. I only like him a little...i thought if i made him cut his hair he would be more attractive to me...but that's not the case. I just feel bd because i sepent a lot of money on th party and no one seemed to care...especially having to shell out gas money for someone else! Has this ever happened to you guys?

I'm quitting smoking tomorrow... I light my last one at a quarter to midnight and not another one will pass my lips after midnight... not one in 2007... that's my intention anyway!

I'm seriously sick of a sarcastic non-smoking 'friend' who constantly lectures, hectores and nags... not for my health, but in judgement on me, because she's perfect... so I've ended the friendship without telling her my plan was already in action.

It's 'constructive encouragement' I need right now, not snide remarks like "about time too" "you'll never do it" "think of the cost" "it smells" "it's anti-social" etc.

I've planned the quit day for three months and know it works this way, because I did it all before, but sadly, life events that really hurt, set me off again, after six years clean.

I worried about telling another friend, because she smokes a lot, didn't want her to feel I'm in judgement on her, that it would affect our friendship.

Guess what?

She's quitting with me:-)

my mom had this dream that she and a couple other people that she knows included me and my sister. we were all going to a party but we had to cross a bridge that was tipping and wobbiling. some of us almost fell off. me and my sister were already on the other side. one of my moms friends and herself came very close to falling off. well when we got to the party some of us werent aloud in becasue we werent dressed up including me my sister and my mom and her best friend. then a kid came and keep bothering my mom and she yelled and him then she woke up. what could this mean?

I was suppose to go to my best friends house for Christmas dinner but didn't make it because I was sick. She had a lot of other people invited that didn't show and I know she is really upset. I been hitting on this girl for three years now, I have made good friends with her and some of her friends, I have asked her out many times, but shut me down most of the time, and the time we did was mostly as a friends only, I just though she was playing hard to get and that I wasn't playing my cards right. I have been friends with a girl since college. She was part of my wedding, and present at my daughter's birth. Out of nowhere she became lesbian, moved in with a girl 10 years younger then her and has found all sorts of spirituality. But then she dropped out of my life saying we were never really friends in the first place and she's finally found people who understand her. She made reference to the fact that I was abusive to her years ago, but she never said anything until now. So I stopped trying to communicate as usually she blew me off. This is a long question. I live with 4 other miltary guys in our house outside of the U.S. And we are supposed to have a curfew of 0300 in the morning. Well... its flexible but I have this one roomate who doesn't go out and just sits in his room waiting for us to break curfew so he can tell on us. Then when he brings it up to our boss (He doesnt care... kind of a dont ask dont tell about the curfew) the he has to say something because he definitely knows about it now. Nothing gets started in this country till midnight anyway and no one would care how late we stayed out except my annoying hermit of a roomate. How can I tolerate this guy?
