My friend had said he was going to call me soon. However, it's been a full day since he said that. The issue we need to discuss is rather important. I don't, however, want to bother him. And I've heard that, since I'm the girl, my friend (the boy), should call ME (you know, it's kind of like the whole "boy-must-ask-the-girl-out-and-not-girl-must-ask-boy" thing). Is this true? If not, then should I really call him? I mean, it's the day before New Year's Eve, so shouldn't he be kind of busy? And if this stereotype IS true, then should I just wait for him? What do I do? Guys, do you prefer a girl calling you (even though you promised you'd call her), or calling her yourself? Girls, if you've ever been in a similar or identical situation, what did you do? Help, anyone? What's the proper etiquette when youare dealing with this? Please, serious answers only.

Of couse you can call him. If he s friend, not a boyfriend or anything, why should it matter? It isnt any different than it would be if he was a girl.

K hun, I can help with this. The whole "GUY ASK GIRL OUT" thing isn't true. Yes there are some guys get intimidated when a girl asks them out, but it happens. We live in the 21st century and it has been known to happen. Guys don't have to always call the girls. If you really want to talk to him and you feel that it is really important, then call him!!! He has to know that you are serious about whatever issue you two talked about.

Ok. I think you should call him. The boy-ask-girl idea is very stupid. A girl could most certainly ask, because girls can do anything a boy can do. You might not get to talk to him right away, but you can leave a message. If he doesnt call you back then, try his cell if hes go one. Then, his email if hes got one. Then see if he is on IM if you have one and he has one. If you dont get a hold of him then, you might have to wait until you see him again. Then, you can get angry at him because he said he would call you but he didnt. Its fun to be mad at people.

Calling a boy does not mater at all i call my friends including boys so i think you better call him now i hope this will work.
O if you are in love with him be brave and call him in my school if you don't talk to a guy they say you like that person but if you call the boy they will probably say you don't have nothing to hide so that means you like him.at least that what happens in my school.

That "boy must ask girl" idea ticks me off. If you want me, COME GET ME!! But seriously, if you seriously need to talk to him, call him. Ask him where you guys can meet so you guys can speak face to face cos serious stuff over the phone just isnt serious.

If this boy is just your friend you shouldn't have to wait for him to call you. Now if you like him, wait. Because that's only a rule you should when you like him.
