Hi Champ,
We can and never will find the truth in any way, shape, or form out there anywhere. The truth can only be found inside oneself.
In seeking true friends, understand that what you see, is what you get, and let it go no further than that.
The fact that you cannot find a true friend tells me a lot about you. It tells me you are a good person and have a high set of values for yourself, and you carry those values over into whoever you consider to be a true friend.
It is extremely important that you do not get the misconception that because you cannot find any true friends, has any bearing on you personally. You need to understand that the majority of the people in the world today, are all about I, my, me, and mine and they do not understand anything beyond that.
Learn to truly understand and appreciate yourself for who you are and what you are, because if you seek appreciation or understanding out there, . . . .you are in for a long disappointing wait.
Be careful as many have fallen for the trap of wanting to be accepted by the mindless majority and in effect, becoming one of them and thus becoming a lost spirit.
Bottom line is take anyone who professes to be your friend at face value, and let it go no further than that, because if you are not careful, you will in turn become one of them and lose your true identity.
Have a Happy New Year,
Darryl S.

Why cry for what you don't have, just thank God for what you have. You say, "I have a lot of friends, but in none of them I found true friendship." Do you realize that none of them have found you to be a true friend as well? Why are you looking for a true friend, why don't you be the true friend that someone else is looking for? Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year 2007.

You don't have a best friend? You just have a lot of friends. Makes sense. I use to be like that then something happen that made all my suppose to be friends, quit talking to me, they didn't actually even want to look at me. But, then some still talked to me, and I wasn't even in my prime, I looked so horrible bad. But, you know, all of those people that were my friends said that if something bad happens to me, they will always be there for me. Well, it was a lie. You never know who your friends are until it gets put to the test and mine did, and I found them.

Oh my gosh, i totally understand and i was just about to ask that question!
I have a whole lot of friends at my school. I'm 13 and in 7th grade and i have a lot of groups of friends. I feel like i do sooooo much to fit in with them. I dress like them, i act like they do, i make hilarious jokes, but it's like nothing's good enough for them. Not even everything i do. Not even me.
They seem to hate me for stupid reasons. It's sooooo 1st grade material.
I have about 4 groups of friends and i make sure that in every class i have someone to hang with so that i'm not like an outcast or anything. Sometimes i think that people think that i'm weird because i'm always trying to fit in.
But over winter break i've realized something. I don't have a whole bunch of close friends because i'm always trying to get them to like me and i'm always squeezing myself into every conversation. They hate that. Even they told me when i asked them.
So from now on in the next 2 semesters left of school i'm gonna be myself and hope that everything works out the way i want it to.
My advice to you is to be yourself and just enjoy your youth (however old you are)
It's okay if you don't have any TRUE friends. But trying inviting new people over. Invite people that you think you could have a nice relationship with to a movie, or to your house or something like that.
I am soooooooooooooooo sorry that i dumped all of this on you and i know that this is dramatically long. But it feels good to know that i'm not the only one out there.
how old r u? email me at pinkpolarbear55@yahoo.com

friendship and love, these two thing we can not get by looking for it but it comes to you by itself. And if it never comes, u might not need it, and if u don't get it ,don't worry because you are not alone.in fact, nobody is alone, because everybody has a very true friend, more trustworthy than ourself and that friend will never betray you or never hurt you in any ways,so just keep tht friend GOD- the greatest friend EVER !!believe me, share everything with God and u will feel like you have a friend that nobody has.My gaurantee for 100 %.

It may seem like this at times, but friendship isn't about doing stuff for each other.
You see, friendships are hard to explain...
If you have a lot of friends, and they ignore you most of the time, you may get the feeling that you are being used by them asking you favors, and you should make other friends, friends who actually understand you, who would always be there for you.

Ya, I know what you mean. That's where the old saying "you can count your friends on one hand" comes from. Don't beat yourself up trying to please others, the more you try the worse THEY get. Just be happy and true to YOU.
