Family - October 2006

My mother constantly asks me personal questions, and when I tell her I don't want to answer them, she screams and yells and calls me bad names that I won't say on here. Then she calls everyone she knows right there in front of me and tells them all what a loser I am. I find that the more I try to explain myself, the more angry she gets. I've been thrown out of the house many times for defending myself, so now I don't do that anymore. Now I just stand there and take all the verbal abuse she dishes out without answering.

She always asks people what their feelings are about something, and then when they are honest, she gets loud and angry. I can take the crap; I'm used to it. But is there an alternative?

I was raped when I was younger and I became pregnant. I couldn't have the baby. I wasn't emotionally stable nor did I want kids at that time. I also couldn't imagine raising the child. 30 years have passed and I recieved a call from the adoption agency that I sent my son too. They told me he wanted to meet me. Should I meet him? Part of me wants too.....but I don't know if I can go back to that place............

sometimes its depressing to think about.
Im 24 married with 2 kids, love my family but its like sometimes I feel the same way. I guess its been engrained in me since I was a kid, My grandparents always told me this, why do people think that way?

So this past week I flew up to minnesota to visit my dying grandma. My mom really disrespected me. She insisted on me buying her ciggeretts and I didn't believe in supporting her habit, she harassed me about it constantly. She even accuses ME of being selfish! She embarassed me in public by taking cig butts from the ashtray outside the grocery store and asking people at the nursing home my grandma was staying at to "bum" some cigs. I left minnesota back home with a bad feeling. She's pretty much been like this my whole life....

DO YOU THINK I SHOULD CUT HER OUT OF MY LIFE? I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE. SHE EMBARASSES ME SO MUCH.

My sister got married about a year ago and something has been bpthering me, her husband is hitting on me! I didn't think this was true when my dad brought it up about six months before they got married, but when my aunt noticed, I started to wonder. Then about six months ago, my boyfriend at the time forbid to go to my sister's house anymore, I don't like being controlled and my sister and I are very close, so it started a huge fight, when I finally got to the bottom of it, he told me it was because of the way her husband was always hitting on me. I don't want to start any problems with thier marriage, because it's not the strongest relationship and my sis is very emotional, not only that but she's gained about 30 pounds since they got married and she tells me constantly how bad thier sex life is. i keep urging her to get help, but I don't know how to approch this. I'm afraid that she's gonna think that It's in my head. Also if he's doing this to me, he's doing it with other girls.

see i don't get to see my father that often and now that am i mom . my father would like to come down and see me and my baby. but he dosen't want to see "Eric" the babys daddy, and you can guess why be my frist qustion, but here's the top off "Eric" wont let my see my father without him, but my father wont come over if "eric" is at my house

Ok I went to the mall today, and my brother in law was with a co-worker... he did get my attention, he wasn't hidding, and he introduced me as his sister in law (although I can be his sister in law by being married to his brother as well) I don't know what story he told this coworker of his... should I tell my sister? and if yes, how can I tell my sister without making it seem like I thought the worse? Or should I believe him and drop it since its none of my business? What would you do in my situation... tell her or not?

i've been with my boyfriend 6 years now and my mum hates him.i dont know why,she's says it cause he aint got a job at the moment but he's worked before and she didnt get on with him then.he's black and im white and i think that might be something to do with it but i really hope it aint.she keeps saying to me if i ever marry him or have kids with him she will disown me. i love him and i wont leave him for her to be happy but i do see myself marrying him and having his kids but i dont wanna fight with my mum anymore.what can i do?

I was adopted in 1961 after I was born. I have only one adopted brother not blood kin. We don't get along at all. My adopted dad died in 1988 and was a big blow to my life he was our rock in the family. I'm a caregiver for my mother for three years now. It's hard to see my mom go out with alztimers. My brother is power of attnorney..learned the hard way he's after the house that mom and dad had promise to me. He went with mom and changed the will that we split everything 50-50 which means i have to pay him for his half of the house. I don't have a house cause mom and dad said for me not to even worry about it that they had left their house to me. He has a brand new house that he got after the one he had caught fire. I just wish I knew if I have real brothers or sisters that I can bond with and have a better relationship.

i met her when i came to india to write my exams and after few months we became so close, she is not my real sister but I didnt had any sister and we became so close that we were like real bro n sis, but oneday i wrote everything bad about her in my dairy that she was just talking with me cause her mother said so and she thinks she is the valuved person around everyone and she got to know about it and I am very much ashmed but now right now I am missing her so much and dont know what to do, I love her so much as a sister and when I had a sisters love after 15 years, I destroyed it with my negetive thoughts, I want to aplogize to her but she is hurt and she wont be the same with me again and its my fault cause I didnt had a sister so I coudnt understand her, I tried to talk to her but she cuts off real harsh on me and I get upset as I have a ego problem too.
