As long as you don't hurt the child and they have a good sense of humor & it's done in fun.

My kids are incorrigible pranksters. Many is the time that someone at my home has wound up with a " kick me!!!" sign after falling asleep, or opened a door to find a bucket of water falling on their head, or a whoopie cushion under the chair cushion. I believe a pie in the face would be a great and harmless payback.. But no pecan pie, theyre allergic to nuts

Of course it's fun, done in a fun way!
We've had egg fights in our house...i just felt the urge, we had a laugh, nobody got hurt, something to remember!
Have fun they are not kids for long! Everything has to be so PC, and risk assessed...let your down! at the end of the day dump em in the bath when you've finished!
We have had spaghetti fights
Mash Potatoe flicking
Pea launches
Chocolate pudding on the head, scooped out and smeared
and the times they have fallen asleep in there dinner, i have lost count!
I remember one friend literally dishing the kids dinner up on the table...hilarious!
But they do know how to behave when out.

it all depends on if you have a pie for your child to throw at you but i think it will be fun if you make it fun i will tell you we have a birthday tradition at my house that after we sing happy b day icing is put ll over the birthday persons face it is verry funny

Real pie can hurt. It is too dense and heavy.
Throw fake pie. A very light pie pan filled with whipped cream, or shaving cream.

I would never do that unless that child was playing a lot of pranks on me lately. Then, I would find some way to spring it out, and make it happen on surprise! I would be laughing, he would be shocked, and once i explained it he would laugh too!

Even though you're asking for parents to answer...I think it would be hilarious to do that so as long the kid would have fun.

It would depend on the childs age and their personality. Could they handle it or would they take offense to it?
