I'm not in the UK and not in the USA either so I won't say hi :)
If he doesn't live in a very big place (or even if he does) and you are far away, try to write a note to him and send it, even if you don't have the house number. The post office must be able to deliver it as he must be getting mail all the time.
Good luck to you! It's never too late to reunite with your family members and I'm sure your father will be very happy to hear from you again.

Look on 192.com. Type in the name and street and it will give you names and numbers - sometimes phone numbers of who lives where. Good luck in finding him and I hope you get the results you want xx

If you have the street name, and know where it is, just canvass people in the area. If your father is anything like me everyone will know who he is, and pray that you're after him to take him away!
The info will fall into your lap!

You could just wander the street and ask any neighbour innocently about him.
But you might give him a bit of warning to save disappointment's on both sides
