It depends on what religion your parents have and how strict they are. I am in the same predicament, and I chose not to tell my parents that my bf is of another religion. It is a difficult situation, but sometimes omitting details is the only way to keep the peace. Really, if they are that religious there will be no way to please them because they will inevitably pick some reason why he isn't good. It's the nature of fanatics--everyone is sinning except them. You just have to be strong in your own mind that this relationship is what you want and that you aren't going let your parents dissuade you--believe me, they will try. Be ready to fight for your man. Though it's not easy, at least you will know that your relationship status is a result of a choice that you, not your parents, made.
In response to the person who said parents will always be there, while this is true, is it really necessary to jump through hoops in order to remain in their good graces? Though children should respect their parents, that doesn't mean that a(n adult) child's preferences should be disregarded. I believe the original poster should stay with her boyfriend if he makes her happy...after all, they could end up married. If she isn't true to herself, if she doesn't exercise that choice muscle now, when will s he?

If you're under 18, you'll have to respect your parents' wishes in accordance with the laws of religion-"honor thy father and mother." If you're 18 or over, you're an adult and don't need their permission. Good luck and congratulations on your new romance.

There is no way your parents will agree. Only way is to marry without them knowing. Think carefully cause you are going to choose between family and bf.
Hope you make the right choice but remember your bf will leave you at anytime but your family will always be there for you.
Good luck
