As a Christian, marriage is more than dreams, ideals, romance, friendship, love, etc. It's about God. Drawing closer to Him and loving my husband through Him.
For people who aren't Christians, how does your marriage thrive?
I feel that if God wasn't the center of our marriage a lot of our problems would have been too difficult to get through. I would have been too focused on my self, my own desires, and my own needs, without realizing that life and marriage isn't about me (selfishly) it's about God.
So, for people who aren't Christians, I just don't see how they get through problems without getting too self-focused?
