It is considered a sin, but i do it. I have been with a girl for 3 years, we have sex, alot, but we know we will get married, so i dont see the harm. I believe if you have real feelings for that person, it is ok. God hasnt turned his back on me yet and i do it 3 times a week ;-) I think he understands.

Of course I did.

I don't see the point of waiting to have sex until you're married. Sex is, and clearly has been throughout human history, a huge part of life. Crude as it may sound, would you buy a car before you take it for a test-drive?

Is it a sin? Only if you believe. But sinners are much more fun to party with than saints.

Sex and love don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. One is a physical act, the other an emotional experience. Great when the two are combined, but it's more about what you're after, whether your body or your mind needs attention.

I'm not advocating flagrant promiscuity, but as long as you're not hurting anyone (playing games, spreading diseases, breaking hearts, messing up established relationships, etc), then I don't view safe casual sex as alarmingly immoral behavior. Ideally, all parties would be on the same page about what's going on between them, but I'm enough of a realist to acknowledge how infrequent that is.

Lighten up a little and have some (consensual) fun. Isn't that what sex should be all about anyway?

I know I wouldn't get married to someone unless I KNEW for sure that we were sexually compatible. Read all of the questions on the forum from all of the miserable people who are sexually mismatched.
I'm not terribly religious but I think if God is a kind God, he wouldn't want us to settle for a miserable sex life. It's too important part of life for most.
And yes, love does count for something. Just make sure it IS love and that there is mutual respect.

Love does count for something. But sex is just a physical act. We obviously don't need love for sex to happen. Sometimes we have a physical desire that has nothing to do with love. There are millions of emotions tied to sex and love is just one of them.

It all depends on a persons beliefs. Mostly religous beliefs tell us not to have intercourse until after marriage has occured. Of course we could discuss love, marriage and many other things regarding all of this but it will get very deep.
