okay so heres the problem, i really like this guy, more than words can decsribe, and its not like he doesnt know me or anything but he only thinks of me as a friend that i know of, we talk but its just stuff like how stupid the teacher looks, or when im running around school spanking every1 with a rolled up poster board, anyway im a really outgoing, and energetic person, but i only look about average on the pretty scale, what should i do to get his attention, more than a friend attention

We've been together for five months and things are going really well. The difficult thing is, next year both of us are going away for grad school - he is going to Toronto for law school and I am staying in Vancouver for med school. These cities are almost 3000 miles away, and it scares me that we will be so far apart. The thing is, it took him a long time to get up the courage to tell me that he loves me (he was waiting for me to tell him first). I'd rather he bring up our future, but I'd like to be secure that he wants to be long-term with me as well.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year. We live about 260 miles apart. He has never really treated me well and my friends have been telling me that for awhile. Now, my family is starting to say the same thing to me too. I broke up with him. Now he is willing to change...and has started to change. He still loves me and will do anything for me. His family LOVES me. And I still care about him but don't know if I love him like I use to. I've given him many, many chances and don't know if I should give him another(b/c I feel that it's too late for him to change and to start treating me good). But, I also feel if I don't give him another chance that I'll regret it. I also don't want to disappoint my family and friends. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

i wanted to tell him of how i enjoyed my doctor's visit but he didn't seem to care, i wanted to also tell him that i was in bad condition because of insecurity about myself but the doctors really helped me and made me feel at home. they told me to go into cousouling because i have no one to talk to, i wanted to tell him but he says that doctors are full of it. i said that it wasn't true and he wants me to eat junk food to get fatter but i don't want that i want to be healthy but he doesn't listen and this is the only problem i'm facing. do i just ignore him, i want to talk with him not a counsouler but he doesn't get it, i just need him to talk to. :(

My mother in law of 14 years has tried to help my husband get together with other women even encouraging him to split up with me. She puts down our children by stating that they are too mature for their age and that they should be as hillbilly as the rest of the family. Well she didn't say the last part but that is what I am dealing with. It is my husbands mother. I have went out of my way to be kind to her and she always says things to me like " I love you more then my own daughters" and then will do something so far as to tell my husband that he can bring a girl to her house. I know this because he tells me. At first he is upset but then his mom will lay the drama in and make him feel sorry for her. I am so afraid this is going to drive me crazy. I have been dealing with this insecurity from her for 14 years and I have finally said enough is enough. I love my husband very much and we are happy. Please any advice will help.

My best friend and I both like the same guy. The problem is...I think he likes her more than me. He always talks to her first, sits by her at the lunch table...all that good stuff. If I'm near, he waits to talk to me second...only so I don't feel left out. He sits at least one seat away from me...I feel so bad when I see them talking to each other. I just came out of a 15 year marriage three months ago.She lost love and cheated although I don't think she knew what love was. I just met a women and she talks like my ex never did. I started talking to an ex-boyfriend again. We were messing around, and one day he wanted to mess around. I told him I would think about it, because he didn't have protection with him. In reality I wasn't going to because I didn't want to end up pregnant again. Well the night before he had asked me to be with him and only him. I wasn't messing around with anyone else, but I just don't feel he's ready to be with me and my daughter. Well the next day he tripped because I had my niece. I have been divorced for a year now and i am still hurt about it and always seem to think back on what we had and i start to really miss him. Our marriage ended very badly for many reasons and when i left i still loved him very much and i can't seem to let him go and i really want to so i can move on with my life. My girlfriend is currently headed off too college next year, and the drive is an hour and a half. She wants me to break up with her because she doesn't think it will last. All of our "desires", both physical and mental cant be met because of the distance. I keep telling her we'll be fine, but I don't think she's strong enough to believe that. She is dead set on being friends (with possible benefits) during the time she's gone to college and wants us to get back together when shes back in town and after college. I am running out of ideas of things to tell her. She wants me to continue life without her and date other people and such, but I don't think I can because I love her so much. And the drive doesn't bother me at all, but it bothers her a little bit. Can anyone offer advice?
