Yes i think she sure can. The lawyer will know what to do and will be able to help her and if they dont she may need to find a lawyer who will. Was this a joint account? If it was it may be harder for your mom to get her money though i am sad to say.

some of this will be dealt with in the divorce settlement. Your Dad should be paying something for YOUR support until then.

There is no problem with your Dad being in Florida for legal action.

Try to stay out of the middle. Its going to be difficult for your parents so try not to take sides and dont believe everything they tell you.

The lawyer will take a lot of the money in the process...

All of this should have been settled in the divorce. Sounds to me as if your mom is telling you a bunch of stories. May I suggest you go live with your dad for awhile and see his side of the story? Remember your mom and dad got the divorce not you. You still have a dad who loves you. Do not let your mother manipulate you into hating your father.

Yes of course as long as your mum gets a good lawyer, he can go anywhere he wants to but they will track him down. Stop worrying everything will be fine for you and your mum. Take care and be happy, OK !!

why wasn't this addressed during the divorce? it may be hard to do much about it now, should never have trusted him with the money.
