Want to know why men hear what they want to hear at times, I know that men are different than women, but why such a barrier when listening when just a small piece of information is given?

Some people tell me that since I intend on going to law school that I shouldn't have any boyfriends (for real!) or even start a family during that time but for some reason I don't think that is completely true. So please... shatter that myth for me.

My dad is only 49 but he started to have some prostate problems last month. He has an infection and he has to take antibiotics. My 13 year old brother thinks it will be funny to put some sudafed into my dad's coffee to see what happened. Because on the bottle it says you are not supposed to take sudafed if you have prostate problems.
Why would someone try to poison their dad?
My dad is the sweetest, brightest, most darling father in the world. But sometimes my brother acts so retarded and has no common sense. So really, I don't trust him!
How can I keep him from doing stupid things like this without telling my parents?

I am 17. First off I would like to know why you think one of my friends does this to me. I say I like someone or think someone is very handsome and she goes after him within the few weeks. She sits and brags about it in front of my face. It's not about him because it's just a crush but it irritates me and boggles my mind. I wonder why she feels she has to do it?

My friend has been in a relationship with her "b.f." for about 2 years. Basically the relationship is just based on sex, sex, sex and more sex. He deals with her when he wants to. Anyway, he is dealing with another girl that she dislikes. The girl is calling his phone, leaving voice messages and such. The girl is not a fan of me either but we never even talked, she is nothing to me. My friend confronts the girl and then leaves home early. [ someone else had to tell me this.] My friend tells me what happened and now the girl is looking for her. She expects me to fight with her or for her if something happens.

Most persons may not know but when doing online dating try contact persons who don't have pictures on their profile. (Only on the good sites.) Usully persons with nice pics get tons of e-mail and may not reply to you individually. That aside my question is this. Why is it that women are so shy about their weight???

I mean some guys will take the time to get to know you before seing wat you look like and may not have a problem with your weight when he sees you. Other guys,,,,,well they'll like the person on the phone and in the e-mails but when he get's the real thing he doesn't want o get involved. So why be shy about your weight???

this guy im dating(lond distance relationship) says he likes/loves me and he wants to be with me and all that other sweet talk and from the first time 2 gether of my expierience with him he showed me he really cares4me, but yet he has so many strippers and hoes that expose their self a lil 2 much on his myspace as friends. he doesnt have one male friend at all. im getting pissed off and depressed. We just recently moved in together about 4 months ago so we are kind of tight on money right now. Last night I said "baby, I know we don't have much money so I know we can't do anything extravagent for valentines day so I was thinking maybe I could make some food and we can have a little picnic on the beach and we can watch the sunset and just have a little romantic night together"...he said no! When I asked him why he said and I quote..."Because it sounds boring." How do I get him to realize that it is the little things that make me happy? That no matter how much jewelry and material things I have all I really want is his time, attention, and affection. On march 14th we will be together for 4 years and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I love him more than anything in this world...I just wish he was a little more romantic. Help!

ok, it started out as a 4 yr friendship and then went to something more. he lives with me, and we were set on having me and my girlfriend of 10 yrs live together. NOW.....it was an adjustment and now he is like lazy, doesn't want to put the effort in to learn to read better, to get a REAL job, he hangs out with his boys and when i confront him says"you don't knowhow hard it is out there...{OR} "i'm working on things,"" then he has a temper and has harrassed me bordering on being abusive, he punched a hole in my closet door cause i asked him to help with the bills- and he called his mamma about it! sure he helps a little around the house, i'll admit, but he's lazy and i got to tell him to do everything. i hate to be a *****, but damn, he broke my cell and isn't helping to pay for it, my girlfriend called him a lazy mofkr, and i can't deal with this, he's 28 yrs old for god sake, so any ideas? sometimes i can't stand to be around him so what do i gotta do? ideas to mk him leave?
