Children today have many agencies to protect their rights. Having worked CPS for five years I totally agree with their mission to savechildren from abuse. However are we going to far? California is considering making spanking a crime. How many of us were spanked and came out ok? Are we now making parenting a crime? I don't think our parents were a that bad. Why are time outs, sitting in a corner, any less abusive?

a 4 year old brother and a 5 year old sister. I have full custody of all the kids. their dad lives 1000kms away. (we live in australia). the older two kids have just spend half of the christmas holidays with him and now they have come back as rude and obnoxious as though they were 14 and 15, not 4 and 5. i know that many of you have it much worse when your kids come back from the other parent but i find that i am really stressed when they are here and i don't want to be. i need to find a way of dealing with the stress and not react to everything that their dad has allowed them to do. PLUS. many of you who answered my last post told me to ditch him (which i have no problem doing), i just get lonely, really lonely and don't know who is going to want me with my three kids, let alone, that person being a descent human being who is going to care of me and someone elses kids. sometimes i don't know if i can do this on my own. but i don't have much choice.

...has never met me but i've been told that he doesn't like me?????????????? I think it may be cause my fella has been up to see me twice this month and not popped in to see his mate while he's been up here (he lives about 80 miles from us both). I just got out of a terribly emotional and verbally abusive relationship[....my x made me feel so bad about myself that I couldn't even talk to people...2-3 months after we split, I've made a new "friend". He is only 20, is broke and is a thug. He makes me feel good though, like is he a therapy to help get over, or is this going 2 make things worse? he is 15 and i'm 14. we go to school together. he seems to be my exact opposite. Ok well im currently dating this new guy and we were talking and everything then he asked "I hope you dont cheat" so I said "no"

This might be a stupid question, but what happens after you give a woman an engagement ring.... I mean, I see couples with wedding rings and they only have 1 wedding ring, they don't have any others, I guess they might keep it... or do some wear both at the same time, sorry, I am not sure?
