i know god made each of us just the way he wanted to, but fun question to think about. id have to go with gills, so i could breath underwater and swim all the time at the bottom of the pool

Oh, that is a good question. Assuming there'd be no bad side-effects....
1. Telomeres. Telomeres are protective sheaths that cap the chromosomes of some animals. Telomeres protect DNA by stopping it from unravelling--kind of like the hard tips of shoestrings. Animals with telomeres tend to live longer and age slower.
2. Nictating membranes, which are found in most mammals and reptiles. Basically, a clear third eyelid that closes over the sclera and allows animals to open their eyes under water.
