because kids feel more comfortable at home and what is better than being at home and having your best buddies over. I do not have any children but as a parent..with all that is going on in the world... I'd rather have the kids at home and have their friends over so that I can watch them. Much preferred over them being in the street, or at the mall unsupervised, or over someone elses house with objectionable behavior. this way you can protect your own kids without making them feel that they are missing out on anything

so they have some one to play with and talk to. Children like to have friends over to do things with and get up to nothing really. It does keep them out of the way. its good for them to interact with other children, this is also called social skills

I would rather my kids have their friends over and know where they are and what they are doing than having them in the streets. I would have loved to be able to bring my friends over when i was a child but my mom would always find something for us to do hence i grew up saddo no friends. Allow them friends, it is good for them and gives them confidence as well.:))

Because some kids feel safer and more comfortable playing in their own house. Or they may have cooler toys that they want to share with their friends.
