I haven’t been in this situation by the way. I am a guy and happily single. But I am just curious why people have affairs if they truly loved their partner? And would you ever forgive your partner? If you say it depends on the circumstance, then what would those circumstances be? It’s just if that ever happened to me I would never be able to forgive her, under any circumstances.

I'm 25, happily married and planning our first child. The problem is my mum is really petty. I see her usually twice a week. I always ask her if she wants to go shopping or out to lunch on a Saturday. Today, my aunt (whom I'm very close to and is more like a sister to me) phoned me and asked if I wanted to go out for lunch. I said yes and said I would phone my mum to see if she wanted to come. I phoned and it was engaged. I assumed that my younger brother was probably on the phone and that my mum would be away out as she hadn't phoned all day. I went out with my aunt and when we got to the restaurant we tried to phone her again but couldn't get a signal. When we left the restaurant we phoned her to see if she wanted to go shopping. She went ballistic for not asking her to go to lunch. Is this normal? I feel like I can't do anything without asking her all the time. She claims she never sees me etc but I always make the effort. She said she is cut to the bone cos I went out

Just sharing/venting. Am I a fool for keeping in touch with my first love who is now married? He's been married for about 5 years now and has a child. He hasn't told me this, but I know he only married her because he got her pregnant. I had my chance to get back with him years ago, but I wasn't ready. He cheated on me about 7 years ago and I just didn't know if I could trust him after that. When I was ready to tell him that I wanted him back, a week later I found out that his soon-to-be wife was pregnant and they were to be married within weeks. I ran into him recently (weeks ago) and we've both admitted that we still hold strong feelings for one another. But HE'S MARRIED!!! I love him, but I know that I wouldn't want to be the reason for a failed marriage. I have to end communication with him, but I don't want to. I don't see him often. Only telephone communication. How should I end this?

See I gave a guy who used to always make a point to smile at me and say hi too me at work a Christmas card. I slipped a photo of me in it as well, and included my phone number. That was before Christmas break and he still hasn't called. I'm depressed and hurt.
He weighs about 250 but is really cute. I like bigger men. Plus he's really shy. Other than that, I don't know why he wouldn't call--he's insecure? I recently got engaged and when I told my 2 older sisters they were completely negative and it took all the joy out of it for me...
I guess I should mention they are both divorced, so they think mariage is a complete waste of time....But shouldn't they let me experience this for myself? Not all marraiges end!

I want to end my relationship of 11 years becuz Im tired of dealing with my bf and his crap. He cheated on me in the pass and lied to me on number occassions. He moved his stuff into my house and then all of sudden just moved out with no reason. But wont return my keys...and also wont tell me were he has moved too. I told him its over and I don't want to see him again. He says that "I'm apart of him and that he'll never leave me alone" Let me tell u we have 2 kids together...so u can say were bonded together for life. But if Im unhappy I deserve to be happy and he don't understand that. He made it clear that he doesn't want another man in my life what so ever and he's going to make sure it'll never happen. He claims that he's the only man for me and it's going to stay that way. How do I get rid of him...he knows how I feel. I can't stand him more and more every day! I even change my locks but he still here...just to see the kids so he says and make mylife a living hell. Help!

I have decided to join one or two internet dating sites. I hear you all but I will give it a go. I just got off one of da best relationships of my life ....... the feeling SUCKS !!,,,,
knowing that ill never be able to call her sweetie or honey again ,, that il never be able to kiss her again or that il never be able to just gaze into her eyes for no reason at all... IT really breaks Ur heart......

I know so many people who have broken up at the 2.5 year mark or close to it. Some have gotten back together some have not. It seems to me that most do end up getting back together. Has anyone else seen this? Why do you think this is? Do you think most get back together or stay apart?
