My friend, who is 16, has a dad who abuses him and a mom who's on drugs. I've reported the abuse to social servies several times, and he's gone with me once.

Neither of us have a history of lying, and his dad, even though he served in the army, has a record of trouble. (Got kicked out of the army, I belive.)

Tonight I went over to his house and found something shocking, the mom was there, and she said that her son had tried to commit suicide over something normal (her husband's abuse.)

She will not go to the police station to file a report. I don't know what to do, especailly not because my friend is still at the hospital with his dad. I'm not allowed to visit.
What should I do?

shes my best friend sice pre-kinder.when i started 9th she began 2 hate me,then my best friend conviced her 2 talk 2 me again.then a fews days later a fought with one of her friends.whe broke up again.then shes started 2 speak again with me.but shes kinda weird.shes like sometimes she talks some times she does not talk wat du i du?

we just found out the got fired from her job and she said that she has been lying and she is leaving next saturday to visit her father and she tells my boyfriend don't talk to her that way he is not her daddy!! she cusses both of us bad but on the phone she talks to her father it's daddy this like she does no wrong what is her problem and how should we handle it she's driving me crazy

Everytime I get into a relationship I am too scared to lead the relationship anywhere because I am afraid it will end up leading to sex. I am 23 yrs old ....never had sex before ....and truthfully am scared to death of it to the point I can't even have a relationship without thinking it is leading straight toward that and I can't imagine doing that with the person so I break it off early. Is this normaL? How do I get over this?

the past three friday nights my boyfriend has told me he had to stay at home, but then goes to town and doesn't tell me. but we ALWAYS do something Saturday&Saturday night this is the third time. this time he said he called. which could be true because i was in a no service area and couldn't receive calls. i know everyone needs some time without their "significant other", but why lie about it?

What is a good way to indicat to guests (close fmaily members) that instead of a caterer, we'd like to have a potluck dinner type thing for a meal , with some more specifc things (like medieval food made by myself and bridesmaids to match our theme). how should we go about asking family members to bring their dishes? i don't want to sound tackky or like we're being stingy. our wedding will be fairly small with no more than 60 guests, and that's pushing it!

we were living in a town outside of baton rouge. Myself, her mother, and stepdad went the next day to funeral home 2 hours away. I stayed up there with my parents that night. I came home the next day and they had come in my house and took our mattress off bed and also 4 Lampe Berge ($2000) They said the mattress were a gift from her brother when she was diagnosed. Legally they are mine now. but my question is should I press charges because at the funeral home i asked them not to go in my house for any reason till i got back the next day? My lawyer tells me it is a big time felony. They don't like me just like i haven't ever really cared for them. I did love my wife. Just lost her and now having to go through all this crap.

Sister in law has been served divorce papers and is now really angry and has told 2 people that she wants to kill herself and her kids. She could have said this to scare husband but how do we know she's not serious? How can I protect the children?
