Unresolved issues. Maybe you still feel for him. Or, you've gone through some changes lately and you're dreaming about something familiar and comforting.
Did you know that a way to not have a dream is when you get ready for bed say to yourself "I know, I'm going to dream about.... tonight". For some reason you don't dream about that. Maybe because dreams are your subconscious and when you mention what you don't want to dream about it brings that into your conscious mind. Try it.

boyfriends
If you dream of a specific person such as a boyfriend, you will need to concentrate more on the other symbols of your present dream as the boyfriend can represent several different aspects or people in your life. A boyfriend can be friend, enemy, lover, companion, or the symbol of any of these things in the emotions. If bodily harm is threatened from this person it would be best to take this as a literal, true, dream and act accordingly.
Hope this helps u. Best wishes.

Without more background information it's hard to say, but I'll wager a guess that he represents something your subconscious mind feels it needs right now. Comfort? Security? Belonging? Fun? Esteem?
People in dreams are almost never representative of the actual person, so please don't take it as a sign you're supposed to call him up and get back together. Think about what he meant to you and what, of those things, you might be needing.

I have been divorced for 8 years and I often have strong dreams about my former husband and have wondered the same thing. I left him because he wasn't kind. I believe you and I are having these dreams because we still love the guys.

i'm not really sure but the chinese have a saying, ri you suo si ye you suo meng, meaning you dream of what you think in the day. so perhaps you always think of your ex?
an alternative way of interpreting your dream would probably be that you still have unfinished issues with your ex and have not totally let go of him yet.
hope that thelped.

well, maybe you are starting to get feelings for him and are longing for him, do you still keep in contact? this happens to me a lot, only i am not married, i haven't been, and i am usually going down a waterslide in the wilderness or being attacked by a mentally retarded person that used to be a flying squirrel that used to be a orange caterpillar. but then again, who needs medication?

deep down in your heart you must still have feelings for him and you havent really moved on. you need to get this resolved before you can move on.find a counselor and maybe get help with this. this is an unresolved inner conflict that affects your dreams.
